I hope Jackson gets max jail time on all counts. Three years is not nearly enough. Get him out of town

I believe we have put up with Jackson long enough. He is a disruption to the team and gives the city a bad name.

Jackson's a little behind in conditioning, says his coach. My coaches would have cut me, pronto.

Innocent until proven guilty...Let's all abide by that and give him a chance, we were all young once and can still remember our own transgressions and that someone had faith in us and that is probably why we are who we are today.

Can you believe Jackson's comment, "it's just another obstacle to overcome" ? It's just another "stupid" move he's made when he's living a dream life. There are a lot of incredible young guys coming out of colleges all over the country who would step up and take his place. He may be a step faster, he may make a nice move or two on the floor. But, he has consistently proven what type of person he really is. His comments here show that he's "willing to sit on the bench" and catch a fat check for being a "screw up". I'm out of town working and am glad to not have purchased tickets for this season. I'm in Charlotte, NC and do not plan on going to the season opener here. I'm ashamed to admit to being a lifelong Pacer's Fan.

a. probation is serious, you screw up and you're going to jail
b. whether he was hit by a car or not and then fired a gun in "self defense", HE PUT HIMSELF IN THAT SITUATION!
c. Oh, how I miss Al Harrington now.

Jackson seems to always say the right things - from his first day in Indiana.
But his actions ...
He rushed the stands in Detroit...
He violated probation, apparently thinking it did not really apply to him...
On the court he has often lost emotional control and cost the team...
At a strip club he gets into trouble and says he is the victium...
When he was charged he said that he had been praying ...(strip clubs and prayer!?!- wow)
Being a sports fan is all about a sense of relationship and identity.
I no longer have that...
I dont want to identify with this team.
And really don't care if I do at this point.

What a shame but it's time the guilty take the blame. Steven Jackson has demonstrated once again his lack of maturity and character. And if the Pacers allow him to play on the squad, every fan ought to boycott the game. As long as the fan pays, the players will play. Jackson needs to know that we do not support criminal behavior. The Pacers need to exercise some guts for a change and suspend Jackson until this is all settled in a court of law.
Who will be the first to stand up and do the right thing?

Who is Jackson trying to BS? His comments are to distract the fans from his unmature actions. Bird needs to lower the hammer before Indiana fans loose respect for him.

What I don't get is why people, especially Phil from NC, are saying that they are ashamed to be Pacer fans, or that they won't watch or attend Pacer games. If you wanna be mad at Jackson, go ahead and be mad at Jackson. I too want him gone from the team, even before his latest screwup. But when you guys are talking about being ashamed of the team, or not watching their games, is that really fair to the other players?

When insult the Pacers, you aren't just insulting the problem players, like Jackson and Tinsley. You are also insulting the players that actually work hard and really want to do their best, players like Granger, White, Williams, Armstrong, Foster. Jermaine even seems to have a very positive attitude going into the season.

If you are a real Pacers fan, you wouldn't be saying things like that. It is understandable to get frustrated with certain players, or even the people in charge for keeping those certain players, but to give up on the team entirely? When the Pacers won 61 games in 2004, I bet you all were claiming to be big fans, right? When the Pacers nearly beat the Magic the day after the Brawl, with only six players, you were probably fans too, right? But a couple years later, and you bail on them. Instead of you guys being mad at the Pacers, the Pacers should be mad at you. Some of you aren't real fans. Stick with the team when things get hard, not the other way around.
