The heat make so many mistakes at picking people that is not even funny look at yi from china this guy does not want to be with the bucks and his a power foward his a very good shooter but miami wont even talk to the bucks for a trade of some kind they are waiting for another team to get him and thats all they do wait and wait and guess what next season will start and we will wait till next year agin.

I really hope the heat can get Ron Artest. They would make it to the finals easy, eventhough I still think they make it as long as DWade and Shaq stay healthy. People are still sleeping on that combination. The best in the league.

THat Yi cat is to soft for the eastern conference. You were probably saying the same thing the year they won it.

WE SHOULD MAKE A MOVE FOR ACIE LAW AND QUENTIN RICHARDSON BECAUSE THE KNICKS HAVE ALOT OF DEPTH IN THE SF AND THEY ARE TRYING TO ACQUIRE RON ARTEST

i wouldnt trade for Yi Jangalang. that kid is an ungrateful ****, and he's soft to boot.

i hate the thought of giving up Haslem, and i wouldnt trade him for anybody but a quality player-- but Artest is a quality player and would boost the Heat on BOTH sides of the ball.

his "attitude" is the only drawback to the guy, but i think that's more media hype than reality.. and with a strong veteran leader like Shaq and an unselfish young star like Dwade, Miami might just be the situation that turns Artest into a winner.

hey Pat--- GET US ARTEST!!

imagine Artest on the Heat-- a guy who could neutralize LeBroom, Pierce, Billups/Hamilton and most of the guards/small forwards in the East.

i would LOVE to see a Shaq/Zo/Artest front court--- good luck scoring on that!

Come on, be realistic, the problem is not whether the Heat wants to get Artest, it is whether the Heat can get him, and how. The Kings have said they are not intereted in any Heat players

Sometimes, nothing is something. This was a really weak FA class. As such, most of the sigings were reaches. We couldn't have gotten KG no matter what. We didn't need Jesus Shuttlesworth. Kapono was way overpaid-remember Damon Jones. Everyone seems to be missing the point. In today's NBA, cap management is everything. Parker can opt out next year and that means more cap space. We are already looking at Williams, Doleac, and Mourning coming off of the books for about $14.7 million. That translate into a stud or two quality players. The Heat is not going to do anything to mess that up. And if Wade is going to have a longer than revealed rehab, next year might be problematic anyway. It is the year after that the Heat brass is confident that they can make a big splash. As far as Posey is concerned, it seems that he might be had for a lot less money than originally thought. That could translate into him taking a one year deal with the Heat. And lastly, what about the one move that the Heat really wants to make. ARTEST. He is significantly underpaid & has a player option after next year. If the Heat could work a deal, it would get an underpaid all-star for a year or two, or a third star for this season and another $6 million plus of cap space. What a deal. The Heat should be thrilled to give up Udonis to make that deal. They could then sign PJ Brown for a last hurrah to back up Walker at his natural position. And he seems to play better as a starter. Look at how much cap space that scenario opens up. And two years later Shaq's $20 million comes off of the books. I love the future. And if we could get Sac. to take Walker instead of Haslem ... Well, that's asking too much. I am starting to sound like all of the idiotic fans who want to discuss why the Heat should trade Walker for Garnett.

I'd love to see a trade for never used young Ike Diogu in Indiana. A deal for him is very realistic I think he would be a good player with minutes behind Haslem.

Is Shaqs contract too big and too long to trade this year? Because if it wasn't and teams were willing to take it on, I'd be on the phone to desperate teams with young PROVEN studs.

Why would Pfund say anything to tip his cards. Im sure they are working the phones to make something work. Like he would say "yea, we're frantic and trying to do something so that the annoying posters and writers on the Sun Sentinal website will stop being bandwagon fans and actually have some faith". Get a clue people.

actually, HoopsWorld ran an article back on July 6 reporting on a rumor that the Heat, not the Kings, turned down a Udonis-for-Artest deal.

the Heat could have had him... why didn't they pull the trigger?

only reason i can think of is they were holding onto their cards to play the free agent market.

maybe they can pick those trade talks back up...

Why do I keep hearing all of the Michael Pietrus talk? Isn't he a little older, more expensive solution at the three than Dorrell Wright? If he is such a tremendous upgrade, why hasn't the Heat gotten rid of Wright? Pietrus would be an example of doing a deal to do a deal or to get something for James Posey. Yes, we do need to upgrade the three, but is Pietrus really the answer? I think not! But what do I know?

Artest sounds really Good for Miami. Miami is his kind of town and SHaq/riley can keep him in wraps. question is....who do they give up? What Miami has is already needed. Udonis is not someone you can give up with how sorry Miami bench looks.
But you never know. You add ARTEST and suddenly Miami is back in the game and take Pistons/chicago/boston anyday.

I think the heat should stop being cheap and spending money to get some all-stars in miami, so we can win more championships. To be more specific a all-star forward.( power, small).
