I'm happy for James. Another sad day for the Heat. Giving all their money to Shaq got a championship but dooms them to mediocrity for years and years.

Posey is gonna help Celtics tremendously.

While Heat lag behind.

Good for him! How do you know if he didn't get other offers for more money but chose not to take them because of the team, the coach, the players? It isn't always about the money buddy. It's never been about the money for him. If it was he would have taken free agency last year instead of choosing to return to the Heat to defend the chmpionship. And that's how he was rewarded by Riley. It's about being respected and appreciated for the effort and hard work. It's about giving up your scoring opportunities and being an unselfish player. It's about hustling every game and sacrificing yourself by taking charges. It's about playing for a team that is a good fit and will utilize his strengths. You know like Hubie Brown did. So, don't say he didn't cash in. He just did.

As Pat preens before his mirror his team is disintegrating. Preening Pat will most likely trade away Udonis and one of the other young studs for poison Artest to make a splash and pretend that he is engaged. Bag this fraud and get someone in here who understands the modern game and how to manage a salary cap. Mr. Armani is from another era, or should I say error.

This season is indeed looking very grim..... I'm not happy about Posey leaving and not excited about Hardaway or what's his face's name....

If they get Ron Artest and trade Haslem, I'm gonna barf! What a punk....

Yeah, giving Shaq that big long contract has beaten the Heat down for years, and I'm a very big Heat fan!

Very well stated Mickey. Shaq is overpaid. The Celtics will trounce the heat this coming season with all their new players.

Wait until the Celtics, Magic, Bulls, etc. win a championship before you say they've made the right moves. Notice that Detroit hasn't done much either. It's the crap teams that made big signings. Will it happen for them? maybe, but it is far too early to judge. If the Heat land PJ and trade Haslem for Artest the it will be interesting. Brown, Johnson, and Simeon might make a nice rotation. Posey played good team D, but wasn't much at one on one shutting down the perimeter. Artest can do that work and score points.

Rediculous they let Posey go for that kind of contract. Boston's paying much less than Miami paid for him this past year. Its a sham to say they were negotiating with him for all these months if this is what it took to pry him away. Pat, take your bow and arrow out of Africa and earn your keep here. You sure have not gotten it done this summer.

We come from long ago, the end of Roman glory, we seen it all and done it all. We are scribes of those times and these things just luol my deng every time they happen. Don't worry James Posey, Shaq is going to shoot all your free throws for you.

I wonder if we have any overweight kids that we can send to Shaq's farm for the overly ambitious calorie oriented youngster or if any of the criminals out there are waiting to be taken by surprised by undercover police agent Shaq. Imagine the surprise in the criminal to find out that he is been bested by a 7 foot 3 x 300 Lbs. undercover cop.

Look boys and girls, lean years lie ahead. It is like the winter of our discontent, it was the worst of times and then again the more worst of times. What is happening to the sports of our town. Let's hope that the UM likes their new enclave at the formerly called Joe Robbie that Last Tycoon Wayne H. did not have the decency to keep the name as Joe Robbie, who, since his, death, has left a sort of a curse together with old man Shula on the Dolphins.

Imagine that Duane Wade is the only thing that stands between Miami and the worst days of The Los Angeles Clippers. If it was not for Duane, what do we have a Shaq who is shagging us for all of the money left for other players and comes to play one or two weeks per year. THE DIESEL, YEAH, BABY... the DIESEL. And we do have Antoine Walker who does his Meadowlark Lemon act dribbling off his head and kicking the ball out of bounds. And the baby boomers Mourning, Penny Hardaway, Payton, Williams...

Oh, how sharper than a serpent's tooth is to have Pat Riley around who refuses to give any young whipper snapper a chance to play and break into the line-up.

Let's see, let's put them together and do some quick accounting and see if GOD (or the ghost of Jerry Falwell) are going to put the hex on us for having such a collection: Wannstedt, Saban, Jimmy "The Hair" Johnson, Rick Spielman, Billy Cunningham & Louis Schaeffel of the original Heat Carpetbagging venture, Wayne H. himself who turned the 1997 Marlins and Panthers into what they are today, and of course he did his own pygmalion creation of the Dolphins that Robbie left him for cheap and look what we have had since.

But wait, this is not the en of this sports purgatory because we are catching Pat Riley and Shaq at the very worst, the end of their empire when things usually end up ugly as it is appearing right now. How sad was that performance in the playoff last year versus the Bulls and no one can dispute that the team is actually (on paper) infinitely worse than the team that was stampeded on by the bulls. Particularly when the East is much better.

What did we do to deserve all this? We only just want a little sports fun!

Heat has no money that is why players are on an exodus and the team settles for recycled players!

As we Asians say, the ball is round! Wait till the season starts and see the teams who deserves to be in the playoffs then the finals. Winning is everything, but money is the reason!
