I don't see value for Marion out there - to trade Marion for the sake of trading him (and getting lesser quality players players in return) doesn't add up.
As it stands, he's more valuable in the lineup than, say, Al Harrington, would be.
The one name who the HEAT could possibly grab is Louis Williams - as the Sixers are looking to re-sign him (rfa) for below the mid-level. He'd add depth and scoring at the point.
The Heat could try to pry Aldridge by accepting Lafrentz's big contract - but again, is Aldridge going to contribute more than Marion or simply be a somewhat talented big man to help flesh out the roster?

We need to Keep Marion and re-sing j-will.after that we sing Davis and Wright and trade them for canter.and Andris Biedris is vety fit to our system.he can defence score in fast brick and he will be great with Beasley,Marion and the one and only D-Wade!
,we need try to bring back posey

Now that Brand is out of the picture, the Heat should definitely keep Marion. With he and Chalmers, they've got a pretty solid defense. I don't know why Riley's not pursuing Posey again.. probably the best all-purpose player available for Miami.

Ira - so do we have any chance of getting Tinsley for PG and who else can we get at center? Any news on who we can get if we trade Marion or Haslem? Personally, I would rather trade Marion than Haslem... it does not look like Marion will fit the Heat's system. Also can we get Doleac back on the cheap?

Agree big time with you. You need a veteran point guard who doesn't turn the ball over and set up teamates.(Run and gun)JWill has proven that and knows the system. He likes to push the ball up court. Rookies take at least 2-3 years in the pros to be NBA ready. Heat need a big man bad. But what they need most is a strong rebounder and defender.
