What the Heat should look forward to in this trade is an expiring contract in 2010 and a furture draft pick. After years of watching O'Neal in Indiana, and a big fan of his, he just dosent bring it. Lazy on D but will pull off a big time blocked shot now and then, constantly misses the 15 foot turn around jumper that he LOVES to take and misses free throws at the end of games. Tell D Wade early on that if he passes to J O in the post, dont expect to see the ball back.

We also have 6 fouls and 10-12 minutes per game plus the "enforcer" mentality from Magloire. This leaves Anthony, who is a natural shot blocker out of the equation. He is more of a PF than a center anyway, but then again, JO has played a lot of PF in his career.

It looks like the power rotation (O'neil, Magloire, Haslem, Beasley) is pretty much set.

Now it needs a few games to develop cohesiveness.

I think IF....AND THIS IS A BIG IF...Jermaine can put up 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks for the rest of the year, added with Dwyane Wades play, Micahel Beasley, Chalmers and Cook only getting better and the battle tested Haslem (in terms of veteran leadership come playoff time...along with Wade and Oneal) this can be a very dangerous team.

Back to my original point, this team, when its defense clicks can win games with cleveland and orlando and if O'neal is the player I think he will be, I wouldnt be suprised if we see a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals. Hopefully Boston isn't the number one seed by the end of the year if we secure the 4th...because then that might not happen. But if Orlando/Cleveland becomes the number one seed, the Heat a number 4...and a healthy Dwyane Wade in the playoffs (remember what he did last time he was healthy in the playoffs?) I think we will surprise alot of people.

I think this writer talks to much, and gets way ahead of the game. Sort and simple ok Bud!
Lets not forget we have Riles. Second Wade! 3rd 08' Draft, 4thly, the new 3pt Champion in Cook.
The only to Cook is with Heat, lol. Miami has only been 20 yrs. As long as Beasleys been alive. Which could be a good thing for all parties.
