Dwyane Wade's 26 not enough for Miami Heat in season-opening loss

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

The face of frustration, the one unseen through the Olympic gold and preseason hope, emerged late in the first half, as Heat guard Dwyane Wade argued a foul.

just ride out the storm. let marion come off the books and get boozer next year in free agency.
i believe our 1st round draft pick is "lottery protected" so thats a good thing.

you cant build a team in 1 off season unless its veterans.
we are going to be built for the long haul, though d'antoni would be a far better coach than spoelstra as spoelstra is in the same mold as riles and we dont have the defense for that type of game..

damn riles cut our best coacuh, stan van gundy aka ron jeremy.

THATS what set us back.

hopefully in 2010 we can sign bosh too

Honestly i have always defended Pat Riley on this forum but this time he is so wrong when they said that they might use haslem at the center i thought they were joking. and when i saw the game last night i was shocked pat said they will wait for a trade to fall in their lap, after seeing what happened to them BY THE KNICKS of all teams they need to trade Marion for a legit center. all game long marion could not create his own shot. don't get me wrong he is a good defender and rebounder but we need someone to score when wade can't. they need to get a center or this is going a long season for them when the knick weren't shooting the three's they were posting up the heats not small but tiny line-up. haslem could not consistanly grab a rebound over the knicks PF let alone there center. and when the heat face other team with bigger lineups they are doomed.

"The shame is that the Chalmers-Dwyane Wade backcourt came together so late" (Super Mario? Maybe not, but good enough)

Wow, the season ended already?

Talk about not seeing the forest because of the trees. It's the first game. In MSG. The opponent, while not the greatest, have played together for a long time. We didn't get good games from either Wade nor Beasley. We have no big worth mentioning. We have injuries. We have rookies at three positions (PG, PF & Coach.)

And we lost by only 5?

Oh well, wait till next year.

I agree with many of you guys. To even attempt to put Wade & Co and this new coach out there on the floor as a new product...who's going to be buying it in this economy? Not for very long! Probably like alot of other GM's, Riley must be waiting for some type of opportunity via injury or player release to pick someone up. Because this lineup cannot survive an NBA season. No way!

Injuries???? Todays players would rather get splinters in their ass and sit faking instead of playing! There is no "Pride" anymore and I am supprised some of them can even remember who is paying them --to sit!

A word of caution to my 2nd favourite NBA player DWade(Zo is #1) don't force it. You got caught doing the same thing last year, and you probably had to, but you have some talent on this team, allow them to grow, don't make them into spectators. It will help you and the team over the season.

Are you suggesting they hire Ron Jeremy as coach (Stan Van Gundy already having another gig)?

The weed did not seem to do Mario Chalmers any harm. Has Derrick Rose proven himself the better pg yet (than a 2nd rounder)?
