Wade, Beasley, O'Neal not enough for Heat

A hint of hope. That's what this one offered. Not a victory. Not even with the Boston Celtics lacking injured Kevin Garnett . Full Story

Forget about the finishing kick. If Wade hadn't choked like a dog for the upteenth time from the foul line, this game was ours.

If there was any questions about whether he deserves MVP consideration or not, he doesn't deserve any until he can show that he is make a friggin free throw when it counts.

i totally agree with you on this one. when the heat when to over time with the bulls it was because wade could not hit his free throws. another reason the heat will be out of the playoffs is coach spo can't coach for crap. he does not know how to use the players he has.

LAST NITE GAME WAS THE PITS. THE HEAT HAS A TEAM OF GOOD YOUNG PLAYERS,QUINN O'NEAL BEASLEY SHOULD NOT BE IN THE STARTING FIVE.
TO ME SOME OF THE PLAYERS ARE PLAYING A NERVOUS
GAME BECAUSE OF DWAYNE WADE STATUS,ITS NOT AT
EVERY CRUICIAL PLAY YOU PUT THE BALL IN DWAYNE HANDS THEIR ARE OTHERS WHO CAN MAKE THE WINNING SHOT, AND ALSO START BUILDING SOME
CONFIDENCE. PLUS THE ROTATION HAS TO BE UPDATED,
THE ROTATION IS ALL WRONG.

There's still time...we can package up Wade and Beasley and bring back 'Toine! Antoine Walker to tipee toe tinkle the twine. He and O'neal would make a scary duo. All we need to do then is package up Chalmers and Haslem for, yep, Smush Parker. Say it with me...championship.

The Heat Stink like a steamy nugget

Racism has no place here. I don't care if the player is black, white or purple with green polka dots. The discussion should be based on the merits of the player (or lack thereof,) not the color of his skin.

I think Wade is one of the most exciting players in the NBA right now, specially when one considers he is up against the NY/NBA hype machine that had James crowned MVP before the season started. I view MVP consideration not on wins and losses, but how is a player able to bring others up through his own play. While Wade consistently drags others along for the ride, he also consistently, and annoyingly, fails to hit clutch free throws.

His problem is mechanical -- too many moving parts -- but he will not change because he "looks cool" when he is shooting fouls. Glen Rice had the same problem, An 80% free throw shooter, but tell him to hit a technical or win the game with a free throw... Eddie Jones also had the same problem. The game in the balance and he is shooting two to either tie or go ahead, he would always clang the first one, because he wanted to show he was not under pressure. He would rush the first free throw, then calm down and hit the second one.

It is a sign that Beasley, a rookie, has a better percentage from the line than Wade. DW is ready for show time, but he ain't ready for prime time now that the team is his.
