It's probably for the best. Magic will be unstoppable next year.

I am A OK with this decision. I hate it when players force it and come back early. Last thing I want to see is Nelson injured!! I believe in MAGIC!! GO MAGIC!!

He probably never had a chance of playing in the finals, but as always the media has to stir things up. He will be good to go next season. Lets get a win tonight Magic.

I still think they should dress him just to mess with the Lakers minds.

Rafer Alston has more than proved he can get it done in the playoffs.

Jameer will be rusty at best if he returns this week. No fault of his own, but you can't expect him to score 30 points after resting for 3 months.

If he does come back, the Lakers are one of the softest teams in the league, so that works out. Denver would have played him full contact!

Soo correct, Fakers are soft. That will not change until they get new players. Get physical with them, they don't know how to get physical back and it manifest itself as cheap shots. Same dose of what they got last year, physical D and they fold again.

Not an Orlando fan but will being pulling every minute for ya.

KEEP THE TROPHY IN THE EAST WHERE "D" IS PLAYED!!!!!!!!!!

It would be cool to see Jameer out there, but it wasn't going to make or break the series. Just better hope Skip can keep his lips off the refs.

I would not expect to see jameer play in any of the games unless it was mop up duty in a blow out situation.
You just don't come off of a months long injury and play at the level this team has worked up to.

I think he'll be used as a spark when the series moves to Orlando to ignite the crowd if the team needs a boost to come in for a few minutes. The Magic won't guarantee anything regarding him...and why should they give the Lakers a chance to prepare for him?

ESPN says Jameer's being activated. What gives???

Being activated and playing are two completely different things. Being activated just means he'll take up a roster spot.

"Magic Fan" is correct. ESPN is reporting that Jameer is going to be active tonight. Says no decision has been made on playing time, but he is going to dress for the game.

What a bunch of crap. The media hyped this all up when there was little chance for him to play. Thanks for getting our hopes up slantinel. Oh well, the magic can still win without him, but will need all the offense they can muster.

The team is successful without him, so he should be released.

Jameer Nelson: Time to play your heart out. Play like you were never injured and gone. Afterwards, you'll see why. Go Magic!!

Does any one proof these before they are published? The Sentinel is always full of errors. There are two misspellings in the first four sentences alone.

..and personally I think Jameer returning may mess up the team chemistry.

Jameer or no Jameer, this is going to be an easy Lakers victory tonight. Look for the Lakers to jump out to a rather big early lead. They will score around 60 points in the first half.

The Magic have NO CHANCE tonight. NONE. The crowd in L.A. will be ramped up for this one. Add to that the fact that Jack Nicklaus will further get everyone pumped up with all of his sideline theatrics.

Plus as we all know by now..Kobe gets what Kobe wants. He is clearly on a mission right now to get it done.
