they only look at the fans from a marketing perspective, so forget about that.
if they re-sign him, then the bed is made for the next 4/5 years, unless you get another IT/Knicks person who will take $.
it's funny, now that the magic finally did something this year, there is more support here than there was during any point during the regular season.
FAKE FANS!
Well I and a few other fans have been here all year long, but yes you are right. There have been drive by folks who don't post on a regular basis that only stoped by during the playoffs.

Only reason Magic beat the Celts was because Garnet was injured. Cavs are an underrated team as well. Lakers fans resented we had to play Magic for the Finals, which we disposed of fairly effortlessly. Won't matter Magic will not return anytime soon. Even though the magic fans cry over everything.

Only the media wanted Kobe and Lebron, all Lakers fans wanted a rematch with the Celtics, but at full strength.

You can dream about Boozer, Artest, Bosh, or whoever. Until Superboy can find a shot, and clutch, he just is a Shaq wanna be.

Only reason the East had two 60 game winners was because the East as a conference is really weak. The Magic would not win 50 games if they played in the West.

If the magic are to compete for the trophy, then they need to get Dwade in 2010. And fire Ewing, and bring in a bettor mentor for Superboy.

At least you should feel good, the magic got one victory in the Finals. Their Finals was beating Lebron's team. 1-8. Maybe I'm wrong, Magic get back to the Finals next year, so it could be something like 2-12?

Ummm news flash there buddy, the Magic were a layup and a free throw away from being up 3-1 after 4 games. Alas the better team prevailed, but the Magic were just as deserving to be there as any other team in the East. They did beat everyone else the Media and various others said they wouldn't. So don't be too cocky.

I'm no Fan of the Magic. But I guess the "real" fans can recall getting swept out of the Finals the first time? And there was all talk I'm sure how they would return? But then Shaq daddy left, rest is history....

Rockets 120, Magic 118 0-1
Rockets 117, Magic 106 0-2
Rockets 106, Magic 103 0-3
Rockets 113, Magic 101 0-4
Lakers 100, Magic 75 0-5.5
Lakers 101, Magic 96 0-6
Magic 108 Lakers 104 1-6 (ups, no sweep)
Lakers 99, Magic 91 1-7
Lakers 99, Magic 86 1-8

Magic had to break a shooting % Finals record to escape, and Kobe had a bad night. Looks like God helped getting the Magic out of the sweep.

Hedo was born on March 19, 1979. So at age 30 he has had his share of losing to the Lakers.

Found a good article on what both teams need to go through in the off season.

http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/11859300

Has poll on which team will be back in the NBA Finals next June?

No surprise with the results.

57% Lakers
6% Magic
35% Neither team
3% Both will return

Could of, Would Of, Should Of.

Yeah Lakers got lucky a few times. But the Magic and Gundy showed, they were not prepared to compete. Not on the Finals level.... I never have seen such a choke job, still can't believe they left Fish open like that, twice.

Wake up, and smell the coffee, if Garnett was healthy, we probably would be seeing a Game seven gem tomorrow night, against the Celt's.

The real losers are the fans, ABC, and of course the league. Lot of revenue was lost, because of the magic's "unbelievable run".

Was a very good playoff season. My Lakers are flawed, and not the best Lakers unit, that is for sure. But I look forward to next season. In the West, Portland will be a worry in a couple years, while in the East we wait for 2010, when Lebron goes to NY, then we will have the Knicks as the class of the east, as long as he gets good supporting cast there.

Kobe probably has 2-3 good years left. Then we will see....

Superboy will bolt in 2010 anyway, probably to the Lakers, like it or not.

Mike, Otis and Bob,

Lets think down the road about Hedo... In three years from now you will be paying big $$$ for Hedo? Dwight will just be starting to peek and you will be surronding him with an old over paid Hedo? This will end up being like a Wally Szerbiack(spelling?) on the Cavs bench. Dont waste your time and money with Hedo. This is a business and we can Thank Hedo for his time but please now is the time for the future to move on and pick up an all-star to grow with Dwight over the next five years. NOT someone that will be on the decline of there career being paid way tooo much. We need to be smart about this one. We have Dwight Howard and to keep him in a Magic jersey for years to come we have to find a person for him to peek with. We should do a sign and trade with Hedo, Gortat and someone else to bring in a long term all-star to grow with Howard. Keeping Hedo will hurt us in the next two to five years.

Howard
Bosh
Lewis -Pietrus
Lee -Redick
Nelson -Alston

This formula equals a Championship and a nice necleus to grow over the next five years!

Even if the Magic were up 3-1. Do you actually think the Magic could close out the Lakers? You really think they would beat them four times?

Please give me some of that glue your sniffing.

Thanks, you really made me laugh. LMAO.

You've got to bring Turk back. This unit gets better playing together again and Turk is a great clutch player who fits in with the "chemistry" already established. I've got to believe he wants to win a championship as well...Just my .02

Magic should let Turkoglu walk (he needs some security for his family, after all...$6 MIL isn't secure enough)

The Knicks want to trade David Lee. Magic should try to get him - swap Battie's expiring contract for him... maybe throw in A.J. or Lue. Then move Rashard Lewis back to his natural SF position.

Maybe if Turk left they could afford to keep Gortat also! D. Howard, D. Lee, R. Lewis... Gortat coming off the bench. Who could beat THAT frontline.

Ah the arrogant have spoken. "Effortlessly"? I will agree with you in the fact that the better, more hungry, more mentally tough team won the finals but it wasn't effortless. If Courtney Lee doesn't make a typical rookie mistake in game two, rushing his shot due to panicking under pressure, and Dwight or Hedo make a free throw in game four, it is the magic with a chance to close out this past Sunday, not L.A. "The Magic don't win 50 games if they play in the west"? Could you explain to me then as to why Orlando went 18-6 against the west this season? Including sweeps against the Lakers, Spurs and Jazz?
