wow Mike B is in love <3 barf, it would have been cooler if Turk actually did something after he got into it with Ariza instead of the other way around. Wow Bob Vanerweide is so cool now!! Maybe he is trying to make up for the fact that he blew it for our city by forcing the Magic to active Nelson. Go back to the Midwest or wherever you spend your posh offseasons Bob

might as well try toget Ron Artest! He can shoot and gave Kobe a run for his money. The Magic need that type of player for when we get into it with the Celtics,Pistons!

I don't get what I'm reading here and other places -- that they should let Hedo go. get into it with the Celtics? we just did and beat them. Hedo stunk it up in game 5 but had an excellent year. Magic will open up the purse for Hedo but not for an elite player.

Here comes the undoing of the team. As a Cowboy's fan, I know all to well what happens when you constantly overpay players.

We need a true power forward so Lewis can move back to small forward. Turk was not very good in the playoffs, he was terribly inconsistent and was one of the main reason we had so many come from behind games. If he played well in the first 3 quarters we would not have been 10 points down in the 4th!

Man I hope they don't make this mistake, get rid of Turk and bring in another PF! Thanks for all you did here Turk, wish you the best but it's time for an upgrade.

Good God,

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOO,

Mike,

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

He is a LIABILITY!!! I hate when writers, especially someone the likes of you, write about things they don't know or understand. You've proven yourself to be a not so smart sports writer in this town and this article continues to prove that hypothesis.

For the love of God, how many horrible games is it going to take before the Hedo lovers see what he really is???

Hedo is 30 YEARS OLD!! Does anyone actually think he is going to put up the same numbers as he did in 2008? HELL, look at last year for example. His numbers were about 8-12% down from that of 2008, which was his best season ever and he was playing for a contract this year. Typically when players are playing for a new contract the play their @-$-$ off and earn it. It's HIGHLY unlikely that Hedo will ever average near 20 ppg (19.5 in 2008). We are more likely to see a decline in numbers as we did this year (16.8 ppg) and also the continued decline in the playoffs.

Here is a little "Did you know" alla Sports-Center of yesteryears past... Did you know that the last two years in the playoffs, Hedo's numbers have declined from that of the regular season? Well they have and he hasn't played consistent basketball in the playoffs in both of those years...

----------

If the Magic are going to "dig deep" and want to go over the luxury tax, they need to do it on a more tangible player. A Hall of Fame type player. An All-Star caliber player. A player that gets the benefit of the doubt.

How about we save our money and wait for 2010? Do you really think that we will be able to win a championship if Wade and/or Bosh doesn't land here or if they end up playing together on the same team?

The fact is, is we over achieved this year. Sure NO ONE gave us any credit, but we are going to be hard pressed to make it back to the Finals with a SF playing PF and a SG/SF handling the ball and playing as inconsistent as Hedo does.

The guy (Hedo) may put up 20 points in a game, but the turnovers he commits, the stupid fouls he commits and his missed free throws will out gain his 20 points. We’re talking about missed opportunities here; just like in Game 4 of the Finals when Hedo missed 4 free throws (in the fourth quarter alone) to help seal the win. Its things like this, which everyone overlooks... Why, because he can hit a game winning shot??? When he was the person who probably helped put us in the position where we needed that shot by playing horrible defense throughout the game and/or for the various reasons I stated above.

SO NO, DON'T BREAK THE BANK. SAVE THE BANK AND LAND A MARQUE PLAYER IN 2010. We won't have the funds next year if you do it this year on HEDON’T TURKEYGLUE.

Come on Magic fans, what are you thinking? Turk is a decent player AND he's white (well, sort of). Isn't that what Orlando (the new Boston) fans love? With Turk and J.J. you've got the start of something great. Who cares if they win -- they're white!!! Get it?

Pay more and sign him. I run a business and I will buy more tickets next year to Magic games. The Magic management have a good understanding of putting a good product out there. Their investment will pay off - I would venture to say, it will pay for itself just by getting additional televised games next year - like Orlando v lakers on Christmas Day ( I wonder if Lakers fans take Christmas Day off from rioting???)

Is there anyway (dump one of the gaurds) we can keep Turk and manage somehow to sign soembody like Bosh or Ming?

I am a die hard Magic Fan, but if Lewis wants him back so much that his willing to kidnap him, he should re-structure his HUGE contract in order to keep him here in O-Town!!

Aron, I'll admit that somwtimes you are annoying when posting on here. But then most say that I'm even worse, LOL.

What you just wrote is "the Gospel."
Turk is a stiff. A One year wonder. He is soft and when they put an Ariza on him he is shutdown... actually any decent defensive player can shut Turk & Lewis down.

I whole heartedly agree with this post and will be really LMAO when they pay Turk the $10mil and then his stats fall even more and his sinus headaches and injuries become more frequent.

Great Post Here! Thanks Aron.

Mo, what do you know? run your business and make money. Obviously you care more about the Magic making money than then winning.

JJ - you saw Ariza run circles around Turk and beat him to EVERY spot? Me too!!! Imagine what would happen next year when Hedo is that much sloooooooower.....

What needs to happen, and I call on any reporter to bring it up to them, is for the Magic stars to take a paycut so they can resign turk AND get a quality PF...

Nice find bro. Its hard to ignore the SIMPLE facts in that article and the facts regarding the teams make up and issues for the future.

The article basically reiterates what I've said and it's from a reputable source, unlike Bianchi. Its funny that we keep getting Bianchis take on sports related issues, when it seems he has no knowledge of this team and the inner workings around it. I guess he should stick to covering the Gators only?
