Magic's offense is at the breaking point

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

It must be around here somewhere. Anyone check the hazy mist out in the L.A. smog? The concierge's desk at the hotel? Maybe somebody left it stranded back here in Orlando.

I agree...Van Gundy should use Hedo more often as point forward..not only in the 4th quater..but most of the time...I think

Thats what he does ALL the time with HEDO.

SVG messed up the flow by bringing in Jameer like he did.

When you are out-shot (%-wise) from both the field and the line, and commit over one-third more turnovers than your opponent, you are going to lose the game 99% of the time.

But hey...you people know this, right?

Stupid move with Jameer as 1st PG off bench and for so long - IN GAME 1 OF THE FINALS! Are you nuts SVG?

And even worse - playing Redick at all. He proved during the season that he isn't capable of consistently playing at this level. He may rarely have an odd good game, but generally speaking HE STINKS!

Anthony Johnson has to be saying to himself "What do I have to do here?",

Turmoil and the damage is done.

Try and right the ship SVG. Sit Jameer down and make him 2nd PG off the bench after AJ.

And sit Redick down permanently. If we want to win.

Now all you white-racist-Nazi Redick supporters can come out of your double-wides and tell me what a great player he is ... while he loses the Finals for us.

The simple answer maybe, if Nelson and Alston aren't getting it done, put Johnson in the game. I read an article on Johnson on ESPN.com and he says they don't play 3 point guards in a rotation. Why? If someone is not working out, you need to find someone that will. SVG really needs to get a clue and if a player is not performing, take him off the floor, no matter who they are.

The Magic suck. This basketball organization has wasted to much tax dollars. Orange County needs roads and schools and yet they keep taking tax dollars for this losing team while the player make millions of dollars? This folks has to stop. The Magic is a Tragic! Get rid of them.

There is one more line up for Van Gundy to try. Sit Nelson. Get Alston and Johnson their minutes. They got you this far. What do you have to really lose at this point? Nelson's confidence? You've already lost Rafer's. Nelson is team player enough to know he's rusty and to sit and come back as the on-floor leader in the fall.

Why not go to the line-up that made us successful during the conference finals. Jameer needs to get rid of the ego. vangundy needs to throw some tough blocked shots at Pau and Lamar make them think about there pretty much uncontested shots. Why not let Adonal Foyle and Tony Battie band them hard on defense for some minutes.Go back to A.J. backing up Rafer.

You guys don't know what you are talking about. Rafer played like garbage in the first two games of the ECF. Was that Jameer's fault too? The fact is, even off of shoulder surgery, Jameer can play circles around AJ. You are buying into the media's "chemistry" nonsense.

It's easy to understand why Jameer's return is to blame. Besides the team we are playing, it is the only thing that has changed since we disposed of Cleveland. In reality, the Lakers are a much better team with much better personnel and a much better coach than Cleveland.

If you are going to pass blame, blame Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, and Pau Gasol, and quit buying into this crap from our Local and State, err, sports columnists.

Based on your absolutely abysmal english skills (too much tax dollars, the player make millions, magic is a tragic) I agree. We need a lot more money for education. Fortunately for us, the organization has not spent a penny of money used for schools. Nice try.

From ESPN - Diary of Game 2:

"8:11: J.J. Redick (0-for-5 in the first half) just passed up two open 3s before dishing to Lewis for a jumper. Lakers by one. I'm convinced SVG is only playing Redick in fourth quarters to make Adam Morrison feel worse. That's the only explanation.

2:42 (OT): Orlando gets a nice defensive stop, gets the right offensive look (a double-team on Lewis setting up a wide-open Redick at the top of the key)... and Redick bricks the 3. Will we ever figure out why Redick (a DNP for five of the six Cleveland games) played 27 minutes in Game 2 and Courtney Lee (a key factor in the Cleveland series) played 12? Probably not.

2:17: Monster pull-up J in traffic by Kobe over Turkoglu. Really nice. I remember watching this live and thinking, "Five point swing, no way the Magic recover." And they didn't.

1:53 (OT): Redick botches an easy high screen with Howard by throwing the pass to Fisher, who careens down the court completely out of control and throws himself into Turkoglu for a call."

WHY THE H*L* IS REDICK PLAYING?

I'm sorry Magic fans, but that's NOT a winning strategy and those aren't the words of a winning coach. Your starting guards can't be outscored 49 to 13 in game one and 41 to 6 in game two and expect to win, much less be champions. The Magic's Achilles Heel has been exposed and it's name is "starting guards". And, to add insult to injury, your reserve guards are even worse. Oy vey

I wonder what your original prediction was. I have yet to meet a single Magic fan who predicted that the series would go 7 games. All of them were saying the Magic would beat LA in 4, 5, or 6 games.

Sorry, stereotypical lakers fan, but you have obviously never listened to an SVG press conference. You think he would come out and tell you his offensive strategy at a presser? Give me a break. Uneducated basketball fans paint him as the MOP because Shaq said it. Stan likes to have fun with it by playing into that perception. He is mocking the media with every response.

The guards have played poorly. Period. SVG is not to blame. How many teams does he have to coach to the ECF and beyond before you will call him a "winning coach?" He has coached for complete seasons in this league. His team has played in the ECF three of those years.
