It's time to start Nelson at point guard

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

All of this conversation and consternation about whether Magic point guard Jameer Nelson should be playing in the NBA Finals is as ridiculously aggrandized as the "Sorry, honey" $4 million purple diamond ring Kobe Bryant bought his wife.

Stick with what got them there down the stretch. Start Rafer and have Anthony come to relieve him. Don't have a guy come in and play for extended minutes that hasn't played in four months. Your a retard Bianchi.

Yes, we all remember what Jameer was doing 4 months ago when he got injured. But its irresponsible of you to say that SVG should change his game plan completely from what has gotten the team into the finals and screw around with the combination of players that is winning.

Go Magic! And SVG, don;t make bad decisions tonight.

Mr. Bianci,

You gotta feel good if you're a Laker fan when the other team panics during the first game of a seven games series and prematurely plays a prominent (still healing) injured player; thereby upseting the delicate team chemistry and risking further injury. Despite playing their "super-star" (who was ineffective), the Magic was trounced by a better team. Now, some idiots are panicking futher and suggesting Nelson should be in the starting lineup. Talk about adding insult to injury. Horray for Laker fans! Being a fan of the sport, I sincerly hope Nelson isn't injured further by playing for a desparate team and city.

Speaking of idiots -- you're '..."Sorry, honey" $4 million purple diamond ring Kobe Bryant bought his wife' comment was unnecessary and bush-league. You sound like the idiots who write similar comments on forums because they can muster intelligent comments. I guess when you're out-matched you need to resort to mud slinging. Kobe is kicking your guys ass, so I guess we should expect desperation from the opposition. Desperate tactics like mud slinging and risking further injury to an important player.

Good luck the rest of the way. God knows you'll need it. And, try (I know it's hard) to show a little class.

The MOP is considering a starting line up that will include the "Three-Headed Monster": Howard, Gortat and Foyle playing at the same time. Great material for upcoming Shaq rap lyrics.

I'm sorry, but the fawning all over Kobe Bryant does make his past behaviour relevant. Every time they showed his face with that really determined look on it, I wanted to throw up. Being a Magic season ticket holder from the start, it will pain me, but watching Kobe makes me not want to watch at all.
I couldn't agree more, all this praise over this scum bag, I mean really, this is what is wrong with sports today. Rich, pampered above the law prima donnas, http://www.vaildaily.com/apps/pbcs.dll/articl...

Comeback here after game 3 when the Magic are going to 2-1 up in the series to see who is desperate and if been like you is showing class then no thanks, you can shove it.

Hey Biatchi are you high? Jameer should have never played at all, much less start. You got to be kidding, right? I think it was selfish of him wanting to play and the only reason he is playing is because Bob Vander Tweed wanted so. This is defntly not a good basketball move, no coach or GM in the league would have make this move going into the Finals.Only somebody that knows nothing about basketball would make such move or hire a hockey idiot to be the GM, if you know what I mean. I don't think Otis or SVG wanted Nelson to play at this juncture, but they were force to and are going to have to take the blame for it too.

Mike:
Firtst things first. Just accomplish being a compitent sportwriter then you can coach or voice opinions on coaching. You are prefect example of a "wanna be" both as a sports writer and coach and you can not do either.
Why the comment about the ring Kobe bought his wife? That has about as much importance as telling us about Obmer's ipod gifts. Do us all a favor and join Jerry Greene.

One of the stupidest columns I've ever read, from a guy who has written MANY stupid columns.

The Kobe jab at the beginning was uncalled for, and the Nash comparison was ridiculous -- Nash is a two-time MVP, while Jameer put together three solid months of leading the team before his injury, since which the Magic have thrived for four months and won three hard-fought series... without worrying about a not-quite-ready-for-prime-time injured star potentially returning at the wrong moment.

I'll say this only once, and I'll say it politely: Get your head out of your rear, moron.

Can you please revise this comment to reflect the fact the Magic are down 2-0.

Why hasn't AJ played in the Finals. Why did the MAGIC ORGANIZATION mess with the team chemistry that got them this far in the playoffs? Please tell us fans that?
