Alston focuses on defense
#1 May 30, 2009
Oh yea, Alston was awesome tonight and its been symbolic of him with the Magic in general. He still rushes the offense too much sometimes and doesnt shoot like Jameer, but on defense Alston has proven to be better than Nelson. Skip is just a great asset for the Magic, a really big part of the core that the Magic should continue to have as I hope they win their title run this year and on. ;)

I cringed every time Alston crosse half court. He takes shots at the wrong time and missed open ones. I have no problem with his point guard efforts but was hoping the coach asked him to wait for the rebounders to reach the baseline before shooting. Hias performance in Game 6 was not like Game 5. When a guy misses three in a row and more he should realize he is not in a groove and stop firing awasy like he is the go to guy.
