Greetings from LA. Yes we really did want a 15th Title, and yes we will really want to go after number 16 next year. But get back in line. We're waiting for the Celtics, some unfinished business with them.....

As a Laker fan I am happy. What a great season. Magic - Don't worry you will be back. Boston is OLD and Clevland is thinking their salvation lies with bring 37 year old Shaq to town. If you make adjustments in the off season you will be stronger next year. The Lakers lost to Boston taught them a lot on what they need to do to win it all. I am sure the Magic will learn from this series. Go Magic 2010 - Beat Boston & Cleveland!
It sounds like fans of teams that are good enough to make it to the finals know what it takes to have a good team. At least us Magic fans are not the only ones saying that Boston is getting old and Cleveland is trying too hard.

The Magic had a magnificent year. Perhaps it was, finally, the Lakers' experience that allowed them to escape with the trophy. You are right to suggest that Magic fans should not be despondent. It's a shame though, that you need to insult "visitors from LaLa land." We are quite able to understand gratuitous rudeness. So congrats to the splendid Magic. Part of their improvement might include civility in Orlando's sports press.

Mike,
Nothing personal but the OLD Celtics with a healthy Kevin Garnet would have beaten either one of these teams, come on Mike, the Magic needed 7 games to beat the very shorthanded Celtics. The Lakers are not capable of playing the defense the Celtics can somether a team with. The Lakers played better and won more games than the Magic but I dont come away from this series believing the Lakers were the much better team, these teams were good, but not great. The Laker team took advantage of the little mistakes the Magic made.and that was the difference in this series.
The 2008 Celtics team was special, this Laker team is average to good, but certainly not great. Sour grapes? You betcha!
Sour Grapes? Why? Whatever happened to losing with class and sportmanship?

To that I say....the league can't function with just the Lakers, Boston, and Cleveland. Every city with a team has fans that GAS about THEIR team. Count yourself as lucky to be the fan of a highly successful team.(I do know the feeling I am a lifelong Steeler fan) Congrats to your team but Laker fans need to learn a bit of humility.
I agree that we Laker fans should win and LOSE with class. Kicking someone when they are down is a sign of poor character. Sportmanship is not dead.

torrid affair? please! the magic played as well as the Utah
Jazz. The eighth seed in the west. It wasn't even a good
contest. The magic have a long way to go to play at the
Lakers level. I'd like to see them get there, if for no other
reason than I like a more competitive game.

Dude, I like that attitude. Yep, the Magic have the conference championship sown up for the next five years. Let's see where that attitude gets you.
Boston won over 60 games without their hall-of-fame player. Cleveland had a great team all season, but they lost some of that with the long layoff. Plus it took Orlando shooting way above their average, and a couple of fortunate shots and bounces at ends of games to beat them.
Chicago is an up-and-coming team, and Atlanta is looking tough, too. Plus there will always be a surprise team or two in there somewhere.
Yep, it sure is a lock for Orlando next season. Dream on, buddy.
Dude You are crazy, the Magic came back on Your team not once, but in every game after the Cavs took big double digits leads.
If it wasn't for that clutch 3 by LB they would gone down faster then they did.
They just out played Your team.

You came in at the end of the convo, I have admitted we got beat and Orlando had a better team in that series. You guys are the ones that keep throwing comments in about Lebron or the Cavs when you clearly got beat in the finals. I just wanted to show that you were not much better than the teams you beat. Bianchi should of left his comments up about the Cavs and the Celtics instead of erasing him before you could read them.
We clearly got beat in the finals?

Yeah that's why KB AND D fish got their 4th ring and Phil his mmmm 10!

Our team took care of business, unlike some other 16 teams including Your Cavs.

Just don't talk trash to the team then put Yours on an early vacation.

First beat them, then talk trash.

All right, enough already with the "this will only make us stronger for next year b*llsh#t.

Cleveland went to the finals in 2007 and got swept by the Spurs.

The next year half of Cleveland's roster was GONE!

The NBA morphs every year with the free agency rules.

Wait to see who gets who in the off-season.

p.s. When the Cavs get the atletic wing defender, Delonte will be able to play Jameer--advantage Cleveland.

Turk will be gone--advantage Cleveland

Gortat will be gone--advantage Cleveland

Wallace, Shaq or Camby/Kaman will try to contain your backin' in, shoulder-dippin, elbow throwin' dunker.

Let's admit it, Orl shot WAY over their regular season percentages against Cle and just barely won 3 of those games, while the Cavs shot way under their %.

You saw in the Finals what happens to a 3 point shooting Euro style team that shoots to its regular season %.

What about the cheap shots Van Gundy took against some of the Cavs players? He called out Ben Wallace and Mo Williams and accused them of flopping. Believe me, I am no fan of Mike Brown and believe he completley got out coached, but the one thing he does well, is kiss the other teams **** with his over the top compliments after every cavs loss. He never, ever called out one of the magic players and made a condescending or derogatory comment.
He's a guy that calls it like he sees it. Right or wrong, he doesn't do that in a negative way, if he sees someone flopping, he calls it. Should he? I don't know.. but that's him.

At least we have a year, you guys are losing Turkoglu and are spending 50 million on 4 players next year. Good luck filling the rest of the roster on 20 million

What about the Lakers losing last year and coming back stronger this year? More determined? Oh yeah.. I guess that didn't happen.

Btw.. shaq going to Cleveland, advantage Orlando;)
