People will say that JJ just doesn't shoot that well in the NBA and so far they are right. But JJ is the kind of guy that needs plenty of minutes to get into the flow of the game. Coming of the bench for short spurts is not the way you bring the best out of a shooter.
Unfortunately for JJ his defense makes him a liability just like Pat Garrity use to be.
Hopefully getting the starting assignment will give him the minutes he needs to finally show his worth. I hoped Pietrus would get the minutes but his bone headed play and poor shot selection at times gets him in trouble.
This is JJ's chance to prove himself. I wish him the best!
You are probably right on this one. Problem is in the NBA you have to be able to light it up right off the bench. JJ has not yet been able to do that. JJ needs the offense to move through him but that is not going to happen at this level. Our offense goes through our frontline and if JJ can ever adjust he would be a good off the bench player. So far he has not. It is not that we hate JJ, I wish he coule light it up but so far he hasnt. If he is going to be our starter then he will need to score 15-20 a game to justify him playing. Otherwise the mismatch at the 2 guard will be a severe liability. What I want to see from him is for him to have a good game when the others are struggling. In other words be a true difference maker. I havent seen that yet. Yes he has had some good games but only when the rest of team is playing well. Nothing would make me happier than to see JJ do some of his college heroics in the next series but I am not sure he can do it at this point of his career. If he does we can beat the Bulls or Celtics, if he doesnt where are we going to make up the difference of Gordan or Allen? They could kill us. JJ could really make his career or get it destroyed this next series.

Not hating, but numbers don't lie. People who are blind to the facts do.
Facts that are old and no longer valid. Want to ban women from voting? The facts are in 1880, women were banned from voting.

Hmmm. Where you from? Some Apopka historical facts from PBS:

"In Florida, a plumbing contractor named Bill Hendrix chartered the Southern Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and named himself as its head. The Klan's power grew quickly, particularly in Orange County, where its ranks included prominent lawmen, businessmen, and elected officials: Sheriff Dave Starr was a known Klansmen, as were a county commissioner and the city manager of Winter Park. Apopka and Winter Garden were particularly infested: Apopka's police chief, constable and night patrolman all belonged, as did one constable and the justice of the peace in Winter Garden. One businessman estimated that 75 percent of Apopka's male population belonged."

No, I'm not comfortable with JJ taking charge. But I am comfortable with him taking charges. Let him get points off free throws while putting fast-breaking opponents in foul trouble.
