Nice win!

Dwight was a monster again as usual with 21 points, 23 boards and 4 blocked shots. He also had 5 assists and 3 steals to go with that.

This Magic team looks really good heading to the playoffs. I'm pretty excited about our chances this year.

yet another come from behind win... only the best teams can do it so many times.
Dwight usually struggles against yao the giant, so hopefully he motivates himself to try harder than usual against him.

what and ugly game.
We could not buy a basket....
....... but we showed a lot of heart ( Howard's ) by finding a way to win.

A big " W " and on to Houston.

That's why we are better this year. We shot horribly and still found a way to win with great defense. D12 for Defensive Player of the Year.

Can we start the playoffs already?

I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. "Mom does Santa come tonight? What about tomorrow night? How many more nights till he comes? Can we open presents early?"

Uh Oh! I just realized I'm gonna miss the 1st playoff game because I'll be visiting my sister in St. Kitts. Maybe I can find some sports bar to watch the game at but I doubt it. Sad thing is I won't even be able to follow it online because she ordered internet service a year ago and they still haven't shown up to connect it yet!

Oh well, at least I'll be able to watch the 2nd round, ECF, and Finals!!!

Dwight Howard has his weaknesses (foul shooting, limited offensive game), but that should not distract us from what a talent he is. Every year he has gotten noticably better. This year, he has turned into a fantastic shot blocker. When his teammates turned in a poor performance tonight, Dwight picked up the slack with 5 assists, 3 steals, and 4 blocks to go along with his 21 points and 23 rebounds.

I cannot think of too many centers in recent memory who can put up 20-20s like Dwight does. He is a tenacious rebounder. Chris Bosh of the Raptors is a very skilled player; he can shoot well, makes his free throws, and rebounds fairly well, but I would take Dwight over him any day, despite Dwight's shortcomings. If Dwight can improve his free-throw shooting and get a mid-range shot, he will be unstoppable.

Here is a snippet of a Cleveland reporter's take on Friday's game: "Dwight Howard just makes such a massive impact on defense, the Cavs truly only went at him a couple times and many others they got close and backed off."

There's no stat for scaring people out of the paint, but Dwight definitely does that.

The Magic have a chance to run the table, but they've got to overcome Houston and another back-to-back. Yao has given Dwight problems in the past; hopefully, he can overcome them. I also hope Dwight gets more help next game.

I like our chances against Houston if Dwight realizes he doesn't have to attack Yao directly.

He gets into more trouble trying to defend Yao than anything else. If he could play very cautious defense and agressive offense he could wear Yao down. Just don't go directly at Yao because the refs will bail Yao out on behalf of the 999 Trillion Chinese fans.

What a great game last night. Especially the 2nd half of the third quarter and 4th quarter. Basically it was a repeat of the Raptors game for 2 and a half quarters then Orlando turned it on, found their legs and took care of business. I was most impressed. The only thing I saw that worried me was the poor FT shooting toward the end of the game. Luckily we were so far ahead it didnt affect the outcome. Rafer needs to work on his foul shots our PG should be money from the line in those closing situations. Hedo missed a few also and normally hes on target. Big game on Tuesday in houston we shall see how we perform. Im thinking a lineup that includes both Gortat and Howard at times might be in order to guard Yao and keep dwight out of foul trouble.

You all realize of course that the score would have been 82 Hawks - 77 Magic without JJ's scoring.

Just thought I'd keep you up on these things.

Why is Dwight hardly ever mentioned with Kobe and Lebron as one of the best players in the league. Is it because he is a big man. Whatever I would take him over those 2 any day of the week. He is in a small market and you NEVER hear about him wanting to leave. He is ours until he retires!!! This is fun!!

Huh? I'm not sure how you came up with that. Because JJ scored 11? You know that does not make sense. A more appropriate statement would be that JJ played well off the bench and the game would have been much tougher if he did not.

I'm hoping for at least 61, just so we have more wins than with Shaq...

Championships are won with defense.

The Magic last night (having one of the worst shooting nights of the season), can't throw it in the ocean, but the defense keeps them in the game.

Eventually those shots are going to fall, and if we can keep it close with defense, we can come back from behind and win games.

Another thing here, we are an even better road team than last year and if we all remember, last year we had the most road wins in the history of the Magic.

We are witnessing something special here!

JJ played well last night. I'm sure you rubbed one out to his video after the game.
