This is way too much attention focused on this call. If the refs had called goal tending there, I don't think anyone would have been happy. The ball clearly wasn't going to go in anyway. To score those points on a rulebook technicality would really not have been cool, especially after they missed an even more obvious goal tending call on Howard in the first half of game 2. If anything, this non call on Pau may have equalized the previous one on Howard. Orlando fans are seeing these games as much more fairly called than the Cleveland series. The "mind games" might affect some other teams adversely, but after the railroad the Association tried to pull off for the benefit of the LeBron Kobe show (see game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals), this call really doesn't mean anything.

Earlier in game 3 (about the first and second quarter ) Pau Gasol shot from the baseline and Dwight Howard stuck his hand threw the rim and hit the ball out no goal tending was called . During that same half Petrius obviously double dribbled right in front of the ref on a break and nothing was called. those 2 plays the worst that could happen is overtime for the Lakers But the refs are human and miss plays too you shake it off and play on.
