We don't need him for this game. Sit one more out to be safe.

Yeah, there's nothing worse than having someone come back too soon and then they end up being out longer than originally expected.

I saw yesterday TMac is out for three weeks. I swear he is so injury prone. I bet Grant Hill has played more games in the last two years than TMac!

Jameer has been a pleasant surprise this year. If he can stay healthy, he will probably end up having the best year of his career!

I'll be at the game tonight!

Yeah, but it would be good to get him some playing time. He doesn't need to start, but it would be good for him to get 10 to 15 mins, if he's all healed up.

Where are all of the J.J. Redick supporters? Is he not showing why he rides the pine more than he plays? Maybe I am missing something.

Does anyone have the NBA League Pass Broadband where you can watch the games on the internet? Is it any good?

I am thinking about getting it and dropping DirecTV since I only watch the Magic and '24'.:-)
Hey Michael, you might be in luck ... last night I was actually able to watch the Portland/NY game online with League Pass Broadband while the League Pass channel was blacking the game out. You might want to call/email them to be sure, but it looks like they don't black out local telecasts for broadband; they black out only the games that are on TNT, ABC, ESPN, & NBAtv.

As to answer your question, the quality is okay. If you go full-screen on a game, it is a bit blurry but you can tell who the players are. Also, I sometimes get issues where the game will freeze on me for 3-5 seconds and then it will jump and skip sections to catch up to the action (it is really annoying when it happens during a Magic dunk or 3 pt shot and I totally miss it). I'm not sure if that is a network and/or computer issue on my end or League Pass Broadband's end. Overall, I like it since the games typically come on at 4:00 here on the west coast, I can watch the first half at work on my computer and then hurry home at halftime to watch the rest of the game.

I only have one small comment on this article:
Where's a mention about the NO DEFENSE played by Hedo & Lewis. Are these 2 going to get a pass all year on this again?
Besides neither one has done any great shakes in the scoring department. Lewis had that night in Boston but Turk has done jack and neither play any defense whatsoever.

I would actually rather see Nelson coming off the bench. I think AJ did a great job at starting PG. Sure Nelson is younger, but AJ has the experience that is invaluable. I say keep him as starter and bring Nelson off the bench, he would be doing that on any other team.

I wonder if JJ might do better if he got the ball more often from his "teammates". He can't shoot if hedo, dwight, jameer and the others hog the ball and/or feed only one another. I also wonder who hangs out together for dinner and stuff -- I'll bet they don't manage to include everyone...it's obvious. Watch.

Very true...On top of that, let the bench play more. But then again, Ummm lets not lose this due to that.
lol.
It is imperative that we win these 2. We need the cushion for future.lol

Again you prove how foolish you are. If you have been watching the games you would notice that almost every game Rashard is leading our team in steals and is 18th overall in the NBA as it stands today (although not a huge number, but still good). I will grant you the fact that you are right about Turk, he doesn't play much defense and if he does he fouls and/or does something stupid. Personally I think we are asking way too much of Turk, this when you consider that fact that up until last year he was a career back-up/6th man. He just isn't used to playing all those minutes and trying to score, assist and play defense. It's just too much for him. He isn't that athletic and he is getting older.

I will say that I'm impressed with how J.J. has played on the defensive end though. Taking all those charges and playing decent defense is what is probably killing him on the offensive end. I wish the dude would start making open shots. He seems to do fine when ppl are rushing him or with a hand in his face.

Anyway...So I was not online and didnt contribute much on the Boston Game blog...but WOW....What a NON BS blog was that.
I thought it will be ALL-HATER blog but i'm impressed.
After the first half with HOWARD only 1pt, I thought we are toast. But then halftime it was almost tied and that impressed me. But then not sure what happened cause seemed like we got WACKED!!
Also, why is JJ taking only 5 shots? Seemed like he played well but just not enough shots?
After this games its seems like I need to wake up again when we play a contender cause the rest don't matter. We are already winning everything that we should so it really doesn't matter.
I guess AJ really didn't show up this game.

You should hear radio shows here in houston about TMAC. It is hillarious!!
They are calling him DR.TMAC now...lol
They are talking about Trading him end of season cause they are officially done with him and thinking about future. They are scared they might not get much in return unless he comes back and blows up during playoffs.

He wasn't talking about bringing back, right? I thought it was just about why they traded him. Because of some suspicious heart defect.

I just wasn't sure how I was gonna show up to work after they traded him (random Steve Francis quote).

Nah, I checked. Jim's right. Blackout in Orlando area. I basically am paying $60/month with DirecTV just to watch Magic games, because I don't watch anything else. Is UPN-65 still carrying some games?

I agree wholeheartedly with Nell. JJ seldomly gets the ball from his teammates. He can be wide open for a shot and they will drive or make a dumb pass and lose it rather than let one of the best shooters ever have a try at it. I wish Orlando would trade him or learn how to use his talents. But-- that is the NBA-- boring and filled with one-on-one play-- instead of team basketall. I try to watch people like JJ, who I admired in college, but I just cannot be a fan of the NBA. Hopefully, tickets sales will begin to show the owners and coaches something has to change, but I guess as long as the ultra-rich can buy up the front row seats-- no one really cares.
