How do you say "I called this loss folks" in Chinese ? I said Yao Ming would dominate and make Dwight look like a child. Simply put, Yao Ming won this game tonight. And I called it. I called this loss folks.

It would not surprise me if there were less than 25 total posts for this game. People will be afraid to come back in here and give me my well earned props for calling this loss tonight, as well as calling the total Ming domination.

Clearly Yao was fired up tonight by the presence of many Chinese fans in the stands chanting his name. These fans came out tonight to see there hero and they got their moneys worth tonight folks. And for those of us who came out to see our hero Dwight, well, tonight Yao made Dwight look absolutely pathetic. This was a total mismatch folks. It was an easy call to make. Simply put, Yao Ming owns Dwight Howard. You heard it here first folks.

If you're trying to make it sound like going 1 for 5 at the very least in predictions impresses me, it doesn't. :p But yes, all the head to head match ups are in a decent bit of favor towards Yao. They had all three main fellas minus Battier. We had not even our main three, so I think we would've won with a healthy Turk. And thats just one game, not two games or more, so the Hollinger prediction that a Magic player is going to be out for 1 month or more is still b.s.

Btw, this is the same Hollinger and ESPN analysts to said Pietrus would average less than his career avg.s becaouse GS inflated them tremendously. Now Hollinger had to do a write up on 15 most surprises so far this season with Pietrus' great playing on it.

We played a solid all around game against a good team. We missed a lot of wide open shots though and had a very poor shooting second half. Our defense is getting good enough to keep us in games where we shoot poorly so that is an improvement over last year. We shoot for a higher percentage and we win this game. Nelson is really starting to look good at PG and is playing some good ball. We really abused their 2nd string PG. That is going to be a serious problem with Houston. Good to see JJ get in there and score but he sure missed some wide open shots, same with Lewis. Well, cant win them all. NEXT.

Skill wise, Yao is way better than Dwight.

Nanningbob these comments are not gonna get it done. You failed to mention how Yao totally dominated Dwight and made him look like a frightened child who has lost his parents in a grocery store.

Simply put, Yao is a much better basketball player than Dwight. It is like apples and oranges here. Yao can play inside and he can hit from outside as well with nice touch. In addition to this he can make free throws on a consistent basis. Howard is a better athlete and he is better on the defensive side of the ball, but Yao is a much more skilled player.

let me tell you something bro yao had a great game tonight no doubt but u dont live n houston like i do and the way yao plays on nightly bases is rediculous id rather have howard than yao about right now cause yao takes and misses easy shots alot and pisses nearly everyone of. although im not taking anything away from yao hes still a good player and a top 5 center but honestly if the 2002 draft was done over we would probably take amare but then again u cant teach size and we are houston we always make bad draft chooses are trade good drafts for nothing. and also everyone says howard is the #1 center in the leauge even the rockets announce team said that today.

In the previous 7 games before tonight where Dwight and Yao went head to head: Yao leads 5 games to 2 in victories. Yao is averaging 24 points and 9.3 rebs in those games. Dwight is averaging 11.4 pts and 9.9 rebs. Yao is shooting 55 percent, while Dwight is shooting 44 percent. Yao has 2.3 bpg, Dwight 1.4.

These numbers don't lie folks. Yao owns D-12. To Yao Dwight is just like a little kid. A total mismatch folks.

It is the 2009 draft pick and your team is on the board to pick. There is Howard and there is Yao Ming. Who do you draft???....... thought so. Stuff it Jim. We are actually a better balanced team than they are.

Nanningbob the numbers don't lie. Yao is 6 and 2 against Dwight. It has been total domination. You need to check your facts sir. Get back to me when Dwight is able to hit from the outside and can make some free throws. NEXT!

i wouldnt say that the magic are a better balanced team on the east if they were on the west they would barley have a winning record. the rockets are struggling to win and we are a contender for a championship so just imagin how it would be for the magic. i know roght now the east looks better but give it until about feburary and you'll see what i mean the west will be tough on the east you already know whose gonna make it the celtics, cavs, pistons, and magic on the west besides the lakers and spurs and maybe rockets its pretty much open.

Actually western teams have the same problem with Howard and our front line as Eastern teams do but they are more mature experienced teams as a whole than the East. Starting last year the Magic proved they could take on any team in the west and win, on their court. Its too bad we cant defend our own home court as well. Young teams, can drive you crazy at times but this team looks better but the bench and depth are a weakness right now. We need two more good bench players or JJ to develop into a consistent bench scorer. If he or Lewis had just hit 2 more of their open shots this game would have been much different. We are really close.

When will the NBA set some reasonable "standard" for physical size of players? While I realize a "charging rhinoceros" like Shaq is a novelty to rack up points, it is obvious he is a freak and almost impossible to block. Ditto a giraffe like Yao - may be great to pass the ball do and let him "drop in" the ball from overhead but he likewise is a freak.

Basketball shouldn't be a display of freaks but a well balanced physically team of players all within certain height and weight parameters whose abilities depend mostly on skill and not on their unusual physical attributes. It is high time the NBA stop allowing "shopping around for freaks" to staff teams for an unfair advantage.

We missed Turk! It is nice JJ was't a total washout, but he is no Hedo.

Playing Dwight must bring out the best in Yao.
