FACT: LeBron owns Kobe head to head, in the win column and statistically.
FACT: The Lakers cant beat anyone (Dallas is a paper contender) without Pau Gasol, meaning even with Lamar Odom and co, Kobe cant win without an All-Star team around him. Therefore, Kobe is nothing more than a glorified scorer, in the Iverson mold. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
FACT: LeBron is statistically better on the season, leading the league in scoring while also putting up 8 assists (a TEAM stat), and 8 rebounds a game.
FACT: Kobe has never been a team player, and will never win a championship as the lead dog of a team because of it. The irony is, Shaq's Suns will likely be the team that the Lakers bow to... again. The Suns play team ball. Coincidence? I think not.
Only one of those is a fact. If wins are important, look who has more of them, it's Kobe. A 4th place team is not going to produce the MVP. The Cavs are a middle of the pack team in the NBA this season, that's just reality.
Yes, You are right is hard to give the MVP to team with the record the cavs have.
when You have Boston who could make some sort of case for KG or Pierce as MVPs.
