Yeah, I'm not really sure why the Cavs didn't sign him. Don't they have an open spot on their roster right now?

the cavs had to wait 30 days to re-sign him after he was released by seattle. perhaps he would have returned to cleveland had they never traded him in the first place. or even better, perhaps ira wanted to play with a team that has a REAL MVP and a real shot at a ring.

Ira Newble came off as a nice person and is a gritty ,grind it out type of player,so yes,he was a bit of a fan favorite in Cleveland.

He's a very good defender. When he was in our rotation, he always guarded the best player on the other team.

The only problem is, he really doesn't do anything else. Offensively, he can hit from 17 feet or so, but only if he's completely wide open.
