What the Knicks should do, it may be a change to protocol, hired a defensive minded coach for the Knicks as an assistant and not leave it up to D'Antoni to hire. In a market like New York, it should have been a part of the negotiating process. Coaching in Madison Square Garden is the selling point, so a coach would accept this new concept, he was leaving before he got fired by the Suns in the first place. He was looking for the best place and money.
