Magic's offense is at the breaking point

Full story: Orlando Sentinel

It must be around here somewhere. Anyone check the hazy mist out in the L.A. smog? The concierge's desk at the hotel? Maybe somebody left it stranded back here in Orlando.

How dare that Sentinel screedwriter suggest the offense is at the breaking point. WE CAN MISS A LOT MORE SHOTS PER GAME, IF WE JUST PUT OUR MINDS TO IT !! WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M YELLING ???? AAAAAAAAARRGGGHHHH!!

I wonder what your original prediction was. I have yet to meet a single Magic fan who predicted that the series would go 7 games. All of them were saying the Magic would beat LA in 4, 5, or 6 games.
What's your point?

Sorry, stereotypical lakers fan, but you have obviously never listened to an SVG press conference. You think he would come out and tell you his offensive strategy at a presser? Give me a break. Uneducated basketball fans paint him as the MOP because Shaq said it. Stan likes to have fun with it by playing into that perception. He is mocking the media with every response.
The guards have played poorly. Period. SVG is not to blame. How many teams does he have to coach to the ECF and beyond before you will call him a "winning coach?" He has coached for complete seasons in this league. His team has played in the ECF three of those years.
Dude - I wasn't dissing SVG. I actually like him and his brother. At least they tell it like it is, unlike most others who are full of s^!t. However, even without that quote, it's obvious the Magic are in disarray and experimenting with different match ups to find something that may work against the Lakers. That's all good and fine, but the NBA Finals is hardly the place to "find yourselves". A championship team should be ready to rock and roll with the five to eight guys who grew together as a solid team over the season -- minor adjustments aside. Good luck the rest of the way

I know you were dissing the guards more than SVG, but saying that winning coaches don't make comments like that implies he is not a winning coach.

The Magic aren't trying to "find themselves" as you put it. They are well aware of what they have. The strange matchups and lineups were a result of foul trouble on the part of Rashard and Clee and the horrendous shooting of Rafer.

Nothing is in disarray. The Magic lost an OT game on the road to the best team in it's conference. Let's not make more out of it just because it's a good media story to say the Magic are falling apart. They know exactly what they've got. It's simply a matter of execution at this point. Good luck to you guys as well. Go Magic.

I hope you're not putting your money where your mouth is, cause you'd be headed to catostrophy.

What can one say, but... Let's play on, drive to the basket, full speed! NO RESERVATIONS... NO MERCY... NO TOMMOROW!

I've said it before, but I'll say it again: Tonight is THE night to CHANGE this around.

But… Heck; if we CAN'T... It's OK!

I can't be mad at this team... NOT after what they have done...

If it was the first series with Philly, I would be mad.

If it was the second series with Boston, Heck, even then I would be MAD.

But after ALL this team has gone through... and the MEDIA constantly putting us down... HECK NO!!!

I only wish the Magic to win ONE game... ONE lousy game; and thereby SHUT the door on Shaquille and ALL this loser bull... barrage!

As the Genesis song says;
“Because tonight, tonight, tonight - oh
We're gonna make it right
TONIGHT, TONIGHT, TONIGHT - oh.”

This is simple. same starting lineup with hedo on kobe and lee on ariza. The go big with gortat and dwight together. then bring in nelson for about 18-22 minutes. end with hedo as point forward in the fourth. if magic hit their shots, they win. period

They need to hit from the perimeter early and often. I would love to see the Orlando Magic make a series of this.

I realize you're delirious with happiness cause your team mustered their first ever NBA Finals win, but the facts are that SVG finally stopped experimenting with different line-ups and played those who got him to the dance. Alston was the difference. SVG needs to stop "throwing mud on the wall" in hopes of finding a winning combination and stick to what's worked for the Magic. Perhaps he's learned his lesson. For sure Mike Bianchi has and admitted it in his column today. Good luck to the Magic and congrats on a great win.
