Why do you idiot's want him to still play for the Magic anyway? He's still a decent player but he's past his prime and getting slow and old. The Magic need more athletic players. Not to mention a new owner and GM.
Yo Master Baiter, at first I thought the name you displayed was kinda vulgar, but when you explained the fishing reason, I felt like a moron. That's why I shouldn't form a opinion without asking first. Continue with the fishing my brother!

Dear Big Magic Fan, form Orlando, FL. Do you think only people from "your country" (as you put it) are passionate about their sports? Do you think it's only athletes in the U.S. that make millions and millions of dollars? And do you think Grant Hill or anyone else in any sports on any continent would be earning 93 mill. if the organization would not OFFER him a 93 mill. salary? You say he "walked away" with all the money... so what's the solution? Should they have a clause in the contract that says that unless they play more than 50% of the games, they're obliged to give all their salary back? Or spread it among the fans? It's the world that we live in. Sports organizations pay s**t loads of money so that they can make even more money... it's not grant's fault that he got injured. He doesn't owe any money, he doesn't owe anything to Orlando.
But enough about the GHill thing. I wasn't talking solely about him, it's just that this is a forum about the GHill article.. My main concern was that I've been reading the Orlando Sentinel for years now and ever since the forum, all I see and read (apart from a FEW exceptions) is hate. That's what my problem was. I understand the passion, I think every nation has the same kind of passion for their sports. I just don't understand when it turns into hate, disrespect, ignorance, nationali sm, racialism. And unfortunately that's what I see every day when I visit the Sentinel.

Good riddance. It's surprising that the Magic's loyalty to Hill through all of his injuries and surgeries is repaid like this. I thought he had more class.
Guess not.
"Magic's loyalty". Guess what Tragic fans, once Grant signed that contract 7 years ago, Orlando's loyalty was locked in! They couldn't release or waive him. They couldn't buy him out (unless he agreed). This isn't the NFL where teams can release a player at any time. That makes it pretty easy to seem "loyal"! I'm sure if they could've cut Grant when he was injured they would have.
