How about Hedo? that guy has been lighting it up and has been the real difference maker to free up Howard...Nelson needs to step it up....how about letting J.J. get some playing time?

The boys are playing with confidence, and every game, every situation we're getting better. As good as we are now we should be so much better by the end of the regular season. Van Gundy is the best thing to happen to us, not Lewis. I think for us to be champs lewis has to step up his D a couple of notches. He's making more and therefore should be doing more. Don't get me wrong, I like him, I just don't love him....yet. Van is the man!! I was so much happier when we got him instead of billy (no offense billy). One last scary note for the rest of the teams in the nba....we don't have tony battie, and in 2 years maybe, hopefully, we'll have fran vasquez! How will they stop our big men?! I'm just glad we don't have to answer that....hahaha GO MAGIC!!

It shows you what a good teacher/coach can do. Stan Van Gundy was the NBA's best kept secret and the Magic got him Good for you, Orlando.

Hedo Turkoglu has been the key to most of our wins, yet he gets no love in that article.

Totally agree. Hedo was been awesome this season. I'm happy he did not get traded.

It's hard to fall in love with Lewis who's numbers don't look that great and compared to McGrady, but Lewis does one thing for the magic that is paying off......Lewis spread the floor due to his high percentage 3 pointers. This is one of the reason Howard and Hedo are playing so well.
He passes up way too many open shoots, so his teammates can score. He also doesn't force that many shoots and he could rebound more, but he leave those to Howard.

Give the guy some time and he will probably gives us a 50 point game this season.

Let me start by saying I am a die hard Magic fan, Gator fan and Billy Donovan fan. There is no way the Magic would be off to this fast start without Van Gundy. Things worked out for everyone. Best thins is that 13 of 20 were on the road..protect home court......

I agree with everyone as far as Hedo goes. He has been a little better than Rashard this season and Rashard is doing great! Hedo has been very consistent so far this season. He is up near 20 ppg and entering his prme. Why is he totally snubbed in this article? He should be photo-shopped in where Jameer is standing. Hey Brian...More love for Turk!!!

The Orlando Magic are the hottest team in the East right now. (Sorry Celtic Fans) but a team isn't really measured by the regular season if you can't get it done in the playoffs. Just ask the Mavs

I think both. Lewis has hit some key shots on numerous occasions down the stretch. I never saw T-Mac do that.

I'm speechless in regard to whatthe magic are doing this early seson, but no surpris to me, i love those guys they're reminded me of the 90's team, i'm been here since 92 from Haiti and i felt in love with the Magic right away, and i've always been a fan of the Magic and i pray that this year they make it all the way and wins it all FOR US, be bless Guys and be aware of ups and downs.

Agreed, even when Rashard has had off nights shooting he's still come through with a big time three to hold off a late run or seal a win. Just the threat of him drilling an open shot keeps teams honest and spreads the floor for everyone.

id have to say hedo's ability to bounce back from an average to below average season is one key. another is obviously Dwight howard becoming a beast. Lewis has added some extra points and critical shots better than the last person brian hill believed could do that which is nelson. and kieth bogans is doing pretty good as well granted he's had off night but in the warrior game he scored 22 pts if i can remember correctly probably the career high.

Hedo has been the only one in double figures in scoring every single game this year. Every one wanted consistancy from him and now he's doing it.

Howard missed being in double figures in scoring each game by one game and he scored 9 pts in that one. Lewis missed it in 2 games. That just shows how much they are sharing the ball.

I like the fact that Lewis doesn't keep jacking it up when he's off his game. He sticks to the game plan and shoots when he's open. Sometimes I would like to see more aggressiveness, but I at the same time I understand that he's trying to be a better playmaker also.

Dee, I'm with you. I hope that SVG will not make the same mistakes Brian Hill made last season going for Nelson to close out games. If Jameer can show consistency in his game the way he played against the Warriors for the next 10 Magic games, then I'd stop crticizing him.

first say i'm sorry about jameer's father...second thing is i'm excited and happy the magic had such a great roadt trip.....lets cheer this team to the championship........
we have depth on this team also.....and dwight howard does so much, howard for mvp...lets chant it all year...dwight howard for mvp....he blocks shots, rebounds like a monster, hogs the middle up,passes out of double team better than ever,he shoots the best i've ever seen him,and his defense and running the floor,he lays it all out for his team, and will only improve going into the playoffs...

if you have watched espn, and other sports takes.they are saying dwight howard is not as large as shaq, but he's much stronger..this is what nba players who have faced up on both are saying all around the nba...dwight is clearly out playing shaq...

dwight and lewis are big time, and only getting better.but turk is also becoming a all star himself..wow,if these three continue to improve it will be scary for opponents in the nba..
