Good lord, Kenneth. Your grammar keeps getting worse. I think Arenas is too full of himself and may be a cancer to the team like Steve-O was.

Howard needs to decline on going to USA B-Ball as well and stay with the magic staff to work on his offensive game. He should play summer league.

Otis,

Have you forgotten that 2 years ago you used your 1st round pick on Fran Vasquez. He needed a couple more years in Europe to develop. Go get him and you have your 1st round pick.
Also Mo Williams is a big pass first, defensive minded point guard that can be had reasonably.

Fran is overseas playing with Coocla and Ollie and couldn't care less about the Magic. As long as we have a GM named Otis we will be considered the town drunk of the NBA......

Forget trying to grab a top-tier Free Agent. The answer is simple: trade for a guy who would easily be perennial all-star in the East to pair him up with Dwight Howard: Shawn Marion. Phoenix has to cut payroll - their owner has already said as much. And by all accounts Marion would appear to be the odd man out.

The Magic could send Turk, Arroyo, Garrity and the rights to Fran (I-don't-want-play-in-Orlando) Vasquez to Phoenix for Marion and the Suns' first round pick this year.

It works for Phoenix from a financial standpoint because they have only 1 year left on Garrity and Arroyo (who would be a huge upgrade over Marcus Banks as a backup to Steve Nash), Get Turk to help with scoring, and Vasquez as a project big-man to pair with Stoudemire.

It works from an Orlando standpoint because it gets them a proven commodity to put alongside Dwight and a defender who can literally guard four positions on the floor. Marion can score in bunches and could easily become the 2nd option to Dwight. He's also used to playing in an up-tempo system like what the Magic want to move towards. It also gets them a first-round pick in this years draft - something Otis has been trying to do anyways.

The Magic then end up with a starting 5 of:
Nelson, Reddick, Marion, Darko, Dwight. That team - in an up-tempo style offense like what SVG is talking about running - gives every other team in the East fits.

very interesting... can it happen, yes, will it happen? probably not. But that would be pretty exciting. I say look for a point guard or a shooting guard. Little Jameer nelson needs some help agains those Chaunceys, and stephons.

Nelson can't make plays, Reddick needs someone to set him up... so does Marion I dont think this front court will work for you buddy.... Nelson is the point guard that the Magic are trying to sell! Trade him!!

Can't have a starting backcourt of Nelson and reddick and be succesful. 2 undersized guards who are well below average on defense won't work. Especially when Reddick has to rely almost entirely on someone to get him open looks since he can't create on his own. Marion would be great but need to also try for someone like a Steve Blake to tun the team and get Marion and Howard the ball. Reddick has to come off the bench for 10-12 minutes per game to stretch defense but is to limited to do anything else.

Michael: You can forget about this deal. Phoenix won't take our average-to-below-average players in exchange for an all star just (Marion) because it might work under the cap. A more reasonable trade scenario might help.

Fanofthe Magic: When did Mo Williams decide to be a "pass first" point guard? That's news to me. He is a good player to be sure and would be a good pickup, but is NOT a pass-first PG.

Tony: You are EXACTLY right about Nelson and Redick.

Good comments from all. Why am I the only one who likes Turk? He really carried us last year when it seemed like nobody else could score? He shoots lights out three's when he's on fire. I know he seems like he's asleep sometimes but look how they played as a team last year?

The Magic need to sign Gerald Wallace...A 50% shooter and someone who gives 110% every game. Not signing Gerald Wallace will be the third greatest mistake in Magic History (we all know what the other two were)

LEWIS,CARTER, MARION, WALLACE ....JUST GET ONE AND KEEP DARKO.THAT'S A "WIN"
I'M SURE SMITH IS IN TOUCH WITH VASQUEZ...MAYBE IN 2008 HE WILL COME TO PLAY HERE.SMITH DO A MIRACLE AND SEPARATE HIM FROM HIS GIRL.THAT B..CH !!THAT WOULD BE ANOTHER WIN.

Guys to tell you the truth i dont think that the Magic are gonna be able to sign Carter,Billups,Wallace or Lewis. I think we should re-sing Darko and try to re-sign Hill and wait for next season to get a really good free agent or make a nice trade

i think orlando should trade for another big man take a shot for garnett trade them turk and darko they will probably take and then sign free agent webber good passer and back up big man can still make place and howard could learn a lot from him and he would be cheap compared to the rest of the free agent it would probably only take a 1 or 2 year contract as well
thankgoodness to WHAT
