A starting guard duo of Nelson and Reddick will be the worst defensive backcourt in the NBA. If this is how it goes down, look for career highs from every guard we play against. I think we could help Kobe get that elusive 100 point game!
In response to the last comment about getting Artest ---- What a great idea! What a great mentor he would be for all of our young players. Morale cancer is just what we need ! We should also pull bill lambier, dennis rodman, and latrell sprewel out of retirement. Hell, lets just start recruiting players staight out of prison. You should be a GM.

JJ should be coming off the bench and Ariza should start. Then Dooling and JJ will come off the bench replacing Nelson and Ariza.

If we are trading Hedo it should be for Artest. I don't care that he's a bad boy....he's a hell of a player!

Don't you understand what Artest is? He's a cancer to every team he plays for. Chicago, Indiana, and Sacramento all tried to trade within his first 2 years. Why would they do that with a player who is so productive??? Because what he brings to a team in points, rebounds, and amazing defense is not enough to make up for what he takes away in team harmony, focus, drive, and leadership. Artest would start tearing this franchise apart the first time something didn't go his way. Then we wouldn't able to trade him. Just like chicago, indiana, and sacramento. Ultimately it would be a mistake.

I agree with you about starting Ariza and bringing JJ in off the bench, he'll have much better matchups against the oppositions backups and Dooling can protect him like Ariza can protect Jameer. Not too sure about Artest, I think I'd prefer to see PJ Brown or Webber
Thank you!!!!

Don't get me wrong..I would also love to see Webber or PJ playing for the magic. I would also like to see how can Hedo and Lewis play together. I think the magic should trade by December is they don't play well together...if so, we should bring Artest or someone that can play defense like him...which is.... you tell me

i agree with all you said except i'm not sure about artest. very good player but man that mentality of his is screwy.

he could work though. T.O. is working out in Dallas (cross your fingers on that) so ya never know. but for certain, Ariza should start. You can't have one defensive minded player as a starter and (Dwight) and 4 strictly offensive minded guys balling with him. Dwight would stay in foul trouble and the other team would have a layup drill on the Magic.

the magic stink and they always will. they overpay for players and what has that produced so far...NOTHING thats what. r. lewis is a good player but that will not be enough to go far or at all in the post-season. so get used to middle of the pack magics because that's what you are...

What Orlando already has is Trevor Ariza. He can't play defense like Artest - yet. But he is a 6'8 swingman with all the athletic abilities and work ethic requirements to become an elite defender.

Personally, I'd rather the Magic kept Ariza and developed him, than went for a finished but seriously flawed player like Artest. Ariza might not ever be quite as good as Artest, but we'll never know if we make that trade for Ron, and he comes in and stifles Trevor's development.
