As great as player as Griffin is (and even if he's a "safe pick") drafting him doesn't make sense for the Wiz since at 6' 10", 250 he's probably too small to play center in the NBA. And with Jamison being locked up in a multi-year deal, there no room at the 4. So even though its riskier, going after Thabeet from Uconn if he's available (he will most likely go 2 or 3) is the smartest move for Wahington.
