Duke's Gerald Henderson works out for Bulls

Full story: Chicago Tribune

Gerald Henderson couldn't hide the $100 worth of meal money the Bulls had given him under rules of the collective bargaining agreement following his draft workout Monday.

Henderson wouldn't be a bad pick at 16....He won't make it to 16 unless we're lucky. If Hinrich and Gordon leave...Henderson would at least contribute defensively until he learns how to play offensively.

I'd like this to be their pick. They need to get more athletic, more size and (potentially) better at defense. Since Thabo couldn't fill the bill, Henderson will do just fine thank you.

Imagine he and Hansbrough on the Bulls' roster...... Akward! Dude, you busted my nose!

If i'm the Bulls brass, i think long and hard about drafting another Dukie. The Bulls haven't had the best of luck drafting those guys, and that goes way back to the days of drafting Tate Armstrong, to the most recent Dukies including Luol Deng.

I still shake my head at how, and why Reinsdorf and Paxson, made what is realistically nothing more than a slow footed backup 3 man, into the teams highest paid player. That signing is the kind of manuever that keeps teams in the middle of the pack region, especially when the team owner would rather nose dive off the Sears Tower than pay a luxury tax. Oh well, it's a Chicago team and it's a well known fact that Chicago teams and championships, don't exactly go hand and hand.

Bulls 6 championships in the 90's. Could of been 8 if MJ would had played those 2 years that he left.

Hey Vanilla Rod...
Did you miss the Jordan years?
The CHICAGO Bulls won six titles...
Also, to nobody's surprise, you're a Cub fan so I have to ask if you missed the 2005 White Sox?
The 2005 CHICAGO White Sox WON the World Series.
Not every team in Chicago is like the Cubs you realize-- don't you, Vanilla Rod?

Just to ensure the bandwagon jumping is complete, what exactly has Memphis/Tennessee won? Except for Biggest/Hairiest Women on Earth Award..

Rod, it isn't so much about "drafting" another "Dukie"; it is however all about signing a soft, injury-prone, inconsistent small forward to an unconscionably long, extravagant contract when the player has demonstrated little to warrant the money, the contract length, or the ridiculous terms (like I'm a sickly, often injured player but I insist on my right to play for my European or African homeland team in the off-season). Despite what the other simpleton's on this blog say, you're basically on the money with Deng. Luol gets that kind of deal and Gordon turns down the same kind of deal the same year, same summer. C'mon. I once respected Reinsdorf for being an astute businessman, real estate mogul...but he certainly doesn't have good people in terms of talent evaluators and money managers operating the tiller of the Bulls ship. The Deng deal will be one of the all time most embarrassing in the NBA, if not sports. Bet even surf isn't stupid enough to sign Deng to those kind of terms.

Good news about Pete Myers. Players seem to listen to him and they should. He played in the league for several years due to his fundamentals and dedication.

We would have to move up to draft Gerald, but the guy is worth it... I'm glad Pete Myers is coming back to his rightful position next to the throne... In Lindsey we got a lil man coach... NOW GO GET A BIG MAN COACH!!!

Just a random question, but what was the compensation for Chicago sending Thabo away? Is that the 26th pick? I thought it was a first rd pick.
