The only reason the Boston trade got done is because Mchale wanted to help the Celtics. Who the hell wants to trade with the Lakers! Not the ex-Boston player, that's for sure.

The only other impact player the Lakers could get is Jermaine Oneal, but Indiana want's to much for him. They want Odom and Bynum. JO is good, but he's ALWAYS HURT and he just went through knee surgery. A good season for J.O. is playing 60 of the 82 games.

wow, that's A LOT of bodies for one guy. I think this will look good on paper however Pierce, Garnett and Allen have a lot of mileage on them so I think there will be injuries between the 3 that will interfere with the season.

I still think the Knicks need to do something to keep on pace. I think trading Curry would be a good idea, since with Randolph he's expendable and his value may never be higher. We need someone more athletic that can defend the post, KG was the obvious choice but I think JO is a good alternative. He rebounds, block shots, can pass out of the post and does not need to be down low all the time. Plues you can get him probably without giving up the whole team as Boston did.

Okay, this confirms it. Mitch Cupcake is a moron! He let some good trades go down the drain just because he didn't want to let go of Bynum and Odom. Ainge gives up Jefferson, Green, Gomes, Telfair & a first round picks. I don't get it. If Kobe holds out come training camp, it would be just what the Lakers deserve. What the heck is so great about Bynum? He's proved nothing. Mitch, take a hint from the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz -- wish for a brain!

Throwing in Kobe speculation is complete BS, and weak journalism. Who's your reliable Kobe source Berger.

LA cant trade it's superstar and fill the gym, so Kobe is stuck there while under contract. Holding-out is not an option in the NBA. How do you trade the best player in the NBA and get equal value? If Mitch had any guts, he'd make a move like Ainge. I'm a Celtics fan and this is one of Danny's only good trades. He's a great drafter but usually makes poor trades. This one will go down in Celtic history as his best.
