I read that last year, Coach K of Duke, flew all the way to Iowa to see this kid play in what was basically called an open gym at his Iowa high school. Not even a game, just a pick-up game with the local kids. This kid is the real deal. The Gophers getting a kid like this or Tony Wroten and it would be all over. The UofM would be on the blue-chip map instantly.

The Gophers will never get Royce White either - oh wait, I guess they did get him.....

How did this "also ran" program with a semi-retired coach get a 5 star, top 20 player??? Huh? Like Barnes, White could have gone anywhere he wanted.

Sounds like Harrison is a well rounded young man, not just in basketball, but in life. To have a 3.9 GPA speaks volumes about his priorities. He would be a great addition to Coach Tobby Smith's next class of recruits. Welcome to the Minnesota Gophers Basketball Team, Mr. Barnes!! We're looking forward to having you onboard and watching you play with one of the best up and coming BB programs in America! Good choice!! Go HARRISON - GO GOPHERS!!

Put enough green in the envelope under the table and anything is possible.

Maybe "Billy Donovan" can land him....by that time, he could be a part of another NIT team. Two and counting....

How sad is Iowa Hawkeye basketball when a home state kid doesn't even list them in his top 12.

Don't you just love all the AAU contacts that these kids have. Good luck to the Goofers with all their talented kids.

You heard it here first....TROUBLE AHEAD FOR THE GOOFER PROGRAM in the not too distant future.

He'll either go to Iowa State, Duke, or North Carolina.

He's probably worried if he stays in Iowa, some guy will try to marry him. Can you blame him for leaving?
