They get nutritional couneling and mentoring also. This sounds like a real tax eater.

As you read this, play NAS' rap, "I know I can be what I want to be. If I work hard at it, I'll be where I want to be."

(start at the 20 second mark - ignore the opening scene)

Most will resort to drugs in a few years, then we can rap the part, "people hold their nose because she smells of corrosion and death". All that government funding for counseling and mentoring will be a waste. That's OK, they will just come back and ask for more funds, and the Democrats will gladly throw more money at it.

Where are the parents? How much are they contributing? Don't tell me they are all working 3 jobs and struggling to keep afloat. The ones who aren't working and contributing anything should be forced to contribute something to their kids' upbringing.

Is there a greater ambassador for UConn and, now, for the NBA than Emeka Okafor? But that the majority of other professional athletes emulate him and the good work he does. But that student athletes in college emulate him (honors graduate in finance in three years at UConn). There's no telling what will become of these kids from Hartford's North End, but Okafor and the UConn folks who are promoting the Husky Sport program are great examples of visionaries who are trying to do something positive and productive with their own opportunities. And if this program produces even one more Okafor or someone like him, we will all be better off for it.

Shut down the program. Calhoun only cares about winning and NBA prep. I know, the negative crowd will now bring up Miles, graduation rates, laptops, etc. Thinkers know the truth and those who have watched Calhoun over the years know the truth, human but with a good heart

O.K I see you are still a putz. With this life treating you so bad, the brave thing to do would be to move out of this terrible country. Are you brave? Thank the lord your state is not full of idiots like you. Do you teach your kids to hate like you do or are you going to give them a chance to live a somewhat happy existance? I've seen you piss and moan about minorities not trying hard enough and living on the welfare, and now we see you piss and moan over them trying to better themselves. I guess the problem is with you and your addiction to pissing and moaning. Just keep whining and crying, people seem to be buying your bull-shat. Just kidding you are a dying breed.

Why don't you encourage the parents to do something for their kids instead of the taxpayers. Better yet, why don't you set up a PRIVATE fund to pay for these frivolities. Your bleeding heart makes you criticize me without asking why the delinquent parents aren't taking part and if this is really the duty of the taxpayer.
After Obama spreads some of your wealth, let's see if bleeding heart hypocrites like you are still happy.
You seem to be nothing more than a talking points shill. You failed terribly, now rethink your rhetoric. I don't make 250k a year, so that wealth you speak of will be sent my way. I don't care about the wealthy, just as they don't care about me. Seriously though, let this pea brained hate die with you. I'm sure your children will reject you after you are gone. Probably with some of that liberal therapy, and a bout of addiction, they can get past the horrible parent you were to them. God will judge you harshly.

Positive direction and reinforcement for children is frivolous? And how in the blue hell would you know if the kids' parents were delinquent or not? You're reaching again.

Ah - another bleeding heart. Why don't you and Mike get together and teach a group of kids to sing the NAS rap I posted. That would be a real step in the right direction.
It doesn't take a bleeding heart to call you out as an a**h**e. Do you think only "liberals" could find it in themselves to despise your toxic mindset? Believe me, you are not be automatically embraced by the other side just because you vote the same as they. Your entire being is ugly and it's probably even more obvious in person.

Are you F'n kidding me!!! Get a clue. It's closed minded a**es like you that are ruining this country. I'd like to see you and your kind take a moment, stop pointing fingers, and occasionally try and do something positive in OUR world. Your ignorant rants do nothing to solve problems.
