Zach Randolph for Deandre Jordan and Shaun Livingston. C'mon Donnie, that's something the Clippers should be amenable to. It would get rid of Zach's contract, and you'd have an heir apparent to Curry when the Knicks finally cut ties with him. Jordan is a defensive minded seven footer who dunks and blocks shots with authority. He's raw and needs time to develop, so you keep Curry around for a couple of more years. Then you take a flier on a big, pass first point guard who, if he continues to progress from his horrific injury, is far more talented than Duhon. He was a lottery pick and heading to Duke before declaring for the NBA draft. He has mad skills.
Sorry, the salaries don't work to make that trade..

Nice try...

I said it before. Get rid of Curry or Randolph because in that system they dont need 2 high priced for nothing pf sitting in the middle. Get some young legs to run that floor just to play defense. Matt said earlier about Jordan and Livingston. You know what..Livingston fits that system alot better than Duhon and have him play the point. Im no Knick fan but it was up to me..you have to move Quetin Richardson somewhere..hell buy out his contract trade him to the Warriors...and give away some draft picks, seriously.the way college basketball and its players are looking nowadays, theres no one to draft.

there was more then likely more to it. But those were the keys.

I don't see how that trade would have been approved by the NBA based on the salaries...
Randolph makes $14.6 million and Mobley makes $9.1 million. Even with Jordan's rookie salary, the aggregate Clipper salaries aren't within 15%...
BTW, I love visiting your part of the country...

Long time nicks fan here in the west coast. Fist off let me say if u cant get either Kaman or Gordon its not worth it...Who else on that roster can help the nicks? some draft picks? Well i dont think thats good idea, just look at who the nicks took with there pick and with a glaring need they choose to ignore. I just think they'll be other suiters for Randolph and should squander this trade chip. If need be i would like duhon to start point and marbury would make solid backup for this season. think This offseason the need to concentrate on a center, brad miller type of a player and switch curry to power foward. my 2 cents

Doesn't matter, the Atlantic is now equipped with tall, slim, athletic bigs on every team but the knicks. Curry, Randolph, and Lee will not cut it next season.

They just might have to move Jeffries to PF/C next season just for defense and rebounding.

God I don't care about anybody the clippers got. I want the Knicks to do whatever they can to get O.J. Mayo. Yea he doesn't look like amazing now, but with some maturing and more understanding of the pro game, he's gonna be the next Kobe Bryant (if not better). If he doesn't go to the Knicks, I at least hope he goes to a better franchise than the (ugghhh) Grizzlies.

Right move Donnie, get rid of Flabdolph and KEEP David Lee! Lee is the most beloved player on the Knicks roster. Now he just has to dump, Marbury, Curry, Q-Rich, Jerome James...and anyone else from the god foresaken Isiah era!

Why would the Grizzlies trade a player they traded for???...

Who wants Marbury, Curry, Q-Rich? Good luck moving those players with their salaries...

As far as Jerome James goes, the Knicks actually ASKED him to retire...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ....

I love how this article starts with talking about getting rid of Randolph. But why does ever Knicks article have to have Marbury included in it? I'm sick of hearing about that punk!!!

As a clipper fan i say we bring in randolph and his contract but we arent giving up any of our core pieces, we are doing the knicks a favor by taking away some of thier salaries so they shouldnt be concerned with getting talent back like a gordon, ELTON BRAND IS A LIAR and i hope the east coast doesnt take it easy on him with his meaningless nubmers that he only got in the playoffs once, randolph is just as good on offense and brands defense is overated so they arent that different

I would trade Z Randolph and his contract to the clips for a bucket of chicken wings.

Get real guys! Consider yourselves lucky that someone actually wants him.

That's not the way it works...
For a trade to be approved by the NBA, the total salaries traded by each team have to be within 15%..
By taking Randolph's current salary of $14.6 million and Mobley's current salary of $9.1 million, the Clippers need to trade a player with a minimum salary of $3.3 million to be within the 15%...
I believe this is only true if BOTH teams are OVER the cap.

If the Knicks want to trade Randolph's 14.6 mil contract to the Clippers, and lets say the Clippers are 12 mil under the cap, the Clippers would then have to send off 2.6 mil off the books in return to the Knicks.
