If the Knicks can get Gerald Green they shoudld grab him. The kid's upside is unbelievable. He leaps to the moon (I've rarely seen better) and can shoot a rainbow 3 without effort. If the Celtics are dumb enough to let him go (and they probably are) I'd grab him. He's the next Tracy McGrady only with a healthy back. He's a baby at 21 but after All-Star Weekend everyone will have heard of him from the dunking contest. Don't be fooled by his 9 point average, he'll be hitting for 40 within two year.

>to give Curry a viable option when he's >double-teamed.

Im all for having a viable option but have you ever seen Curry pass when he is double teamed? Short of coming up with some rookie, is there any regular big man in the league who is so bad at it?

As well, where was the media when Rose's huge contract was dumped for nothing?
Wasnt THAT the reason he was brought?
No one in his right mind thought that he came to NY because of his diminished skills.
Do you know how many teams would have been looking for that kind of cap relief?
Is it because were in a market where money means nothing that management and media dont care?
I know its just 'one more thing' but this is the perfect example of what is wrong: not only can you screw up brining a useless player, you can even screw up getting rid of him.
THAT takes talent.

Trade Frye, he's not yet a bust but definately not starter material. great upside and may be 15 to 20 pt player in 2 or 3 years but then again he may also be just a 12 pt 7 rebound player who gets pushed arround under the net.

If their is an available player to swap for him, then this is the time to do it. Their are still many teams who think he will be a star, exploit this.

Maybe trade Fry and Cato to Philly for Steve Hunter who will at least defend and make room for David Lee to become the starting PF which is where he should be as a double double player.

Also Possible trade Fry for Celtics kendrick Perkins, and Olowokandi who has an expiring contract and both give a defensive endge knicks are lacking.

Look into getting Ricky Davis risky but he may have the attitude the knicks needs and would become the default SF despite being listed as a SG.

Think about this trade: Both player comming back have only one year after this one. So if it doesn't work out you have expiring contracts that comes off payroll or trable contracts for next year to try to lure other trades.

Deal Fry to supersonics. Shake up two loosing francises that have pieces the other could use.

Jerome James

Channing Frye 6-11 PF

Nick Collison 6-9 PF

Knicks move Jerome James, & Mardy Collins who they want to be rid of along with Fry for expiring contract of Danny Fortson who when given the chance is a ferous rebounder and a player with attitude and young starter quality PF/C Nick Collison who is playing out of position as starting center on the supersonics which Fry can play due to his hight. Plus with the swap both teams maintain and swap youth.

1 expiring contract and two vet tallents for 4 duds from the knicks with potential.
New York gets a legit starter or top backup for both the SF and PF positions.
Though Both Kenny Thomas & Corliss Williamson are 6'7 they both play big and rebound well and can score when called upon.
Sacramento gets Fry plus spare parts who are tall and one who is small.
