The only thing the Cavs have over the Knicks is the hometown edge??
What about the third best record in the NBA right now??
Shaun were you even alive the last time the Knicks made the playoffs??

HAHAHA classssssic article, I must say. Hometown edge is the only advantage Cleveland has, but yet New Yorkers must "beg" to get the man there. Doing something special would be building a dynasty in your hometown. Not being another New York hired gun. Oh, and that supporting cast you mention sounds like they'll be reallllllly good! LOL @ you...great work here.

Boo Lebron all night long. Enough with this rear end kissing. The NBA is so lame. Give me a call next time LeBron wins the championship. Silly Newsday writers.

Shaun Powell is an Uncle Tom and offers no new information or ideas.

The guy claims to be a sports writer, but hasn't written an article about hockey..... since god knows when. Does it matter ??? His articles are garbage anyway.

Find something else to write about. What are you going to do with all that cap space if he doesn't sign with your beloved Knicks? Believe Wilson Chandler can lead you to a title? God you're pathetic...

Amazing! I thought this article was dumb, but then some of you chimed in with infantile, racist drivel and made Shaun look brilliant by comparison! Oh, and the article WAS dumb.

Shaun, have you watched the Cavs this season? Apparently not. The team is better than you think.

If it comes down to wanting to win championships, LeBron will have a better chance in Cleveland than in New York. Danny Ferry continues to upgrade the team, but in New York, they would have to build a winner for LeBron.

Don't think that the addition of LeBron and one of the other top free agents will not guarantee a championship for the Knicks.

He would win faster in Cleveland.

And yes, New York gives LeBron tremendous marketing opportunities. But that's why they have airplanes.

As I read the New York paprs, I'm amazed that their best basketball story is...what MIGHT happen 2 years from now. And that's assuming that everything falls right, that the Knicks are relevant and that LeBron doesn't win a title or 2 before then. A lot of wishing. You'd be spending your time more wisely if you tried to spot Santa 2008 or 2009.

Lebron isn't going to the Knicks or any other NBA team when his contract is up. He and Kobe will most likely be going over seas to play ball since the world on tha streetz iz that Kobe and Lebron are being offered 50 Million a year each to play over seas. So my guess is that Lebron plays over seas for 2 years when his contract is up then signs with either Cleveland, LA, or maybe the Stolen Pistons as much as I hate to say it. I don't think Lebron will want to sign with the New York Knicks or the NJ/Brooklyn Nets because they are both bad teams who aren't going anywhere any time soon even with LeBron. And if it makes you Kinckerbockers fans feel any better the Pacers are in the same boat. However if you Knick fans want you roster revamped, my Pacers would be more then happy to trade you Jamaal Tinseley for an over priced free agent with 1 year left on his contract who balances out he and Tinsley's salaries such as say Jerome James.

I was listening to 1050 ESPN radio earlier today and Andrew Marshand (I think that's how his last name is spelled) said that Knicks fans didn't give LeBron a warm reception. As someone who was at the game I can say that he'd actually gotten the loudest ovation of any player introduced last night. Also when he touched the ball the first time, the place went nuts.
