Something does not add up.
In balancing all the interests, I have trouble accepting that the lawyer shot the lady.
He had to lose all those years in school followed by a harrowing experience on the bar exam. His parents must be very proud of him for this achievement.
I also have trouble believing he would engage in a sexual relationship with a client given the punishments he could face: a disciplinary complaint, fines, payments to a client fund and a malpractice action.
On the other hand, their is a fact not stated that may reveal the true interests in this case. The lady is a former sports star's lover and she bore two of the star's children. I cannot imagine the amount of child support she must draw. Hence, her death carries with it an economic purpose not explained by the participation of the lawyer in this case.
There may be other purposes in her being killed, but the most economically logical is child support.
The cop's surveillance videos and "other" evidence could have been rigged to set up the attorney. In this way, the biological father can resume his custodial parenting of the surviving child, the son.
So, I believe child support more than anything else could be at the root of this killing.
Lastly, your animosity toward lawyers will cause you great pain in court. It is not the lawyer who is your enemy; it is the state as represented by that little, ugly individual sitting on the bench who couldn't care less about you or your case.
