Full story: Newsday

Chris Duhon left here with something to prove, with an opportunity to invigorate a career that had locked him into backup status.

Umm, Kidd's defense weak, outside shooting a problem...who wrote this? He's 3rd in steals, and 30th in 3pt %(17th among guards)

"Rose (the rookie) has his team in the playoffs," D'Antoni said, "and that's got to mean something."

"D'Antoni (the veteran) does NOT have his team in the playoffs" I say "and that's got to mean something."

hahahahahaha - u think u better start looking for a real point guard???? LMFAO!!!

We told you guys at the beginning of the season he was a career backup but most were so blinded in their hatred for Marbury that they heralded Duhon as the 2nd coming of Magic or Stockton!!!!

LMFAO!!! U gotta love it. I bet Jerry Reinsdorf is laughing his azz off since his team is going to make the playoffs. Same team that Dumbtoni dissed because he didn't want anyone telling him that he should stress defense.

Bulls are going to playoffs with a team with a rookie starting PG and two 2nd yr players in starting lineup AND a rookie head coach in Del Negro.

Knicks meanwhile are "gone fishin" again with a team loaded with vets because their coach won't emphasize defense and depleted his corps to satisfy his own vendetta!!!

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!

The Bulls are 38-40 in the dreadful Eastern conference and you're laughing? Actually, yes, it is funny. A team with more lottery picks than the Clippers can't play .500 ball in a conference with three legitimate teams.

So Curry doesn't know why his knee keeps troubling him. I guess he is as dim as he is slouthful. The joints of the body can only stand so much pressure, Ed, so maybe there is too much mass to contend with.

In all my years watching the NBA, I have never seen a player with more lackadasical disposition than Curry. He offends Knicks fans when in uniform (why is he dressed and on the bench, to disgust us?).

What a waste of a human being and ballplayer. Imagine making 9 mill a year and asking your bosses for an advance? He will reside in a box someday and he's too stupid to reallize it.

As a piont guard this is how I see Duhon. Good three shooter when he takes him time and open. Good pick and role. Ok defender ok rebounder. He does not have the talent to hang in the air and make plays passing or shooting. He also has the ball to high. If he would stay with in his talent he would be a lot better. Drives left and shoots with right hand. For such a so called smart player makes a lot bad plays. When the game is on the line he will turn it over most of the time. I only hope that Mr Walsh can see this and over rule his coach. Nash can run things great, but his D is weak. You will still lose at the end. Kid would be better. I would have let Robinson start. Then you would know if you want to keep him. I would but I can see them letting him go. He still makes mistakes. But he has talent and can win games for you. I would give him a one year deal with an option. Unless he would take a long deal for ok money.

Duhon sucked it up and played hurt when the Knicks were ashort handed.... not sure how 36 year old J Kidd...is the answer for a rebuilding team... stop the revolving door and give duhon a chance
last I checked Kidd hadn't won anything.. in NY he had Jefferson, K-mart, Vince Carter...

Kidd is another Marbury at 37 years old. Why don't we sign him and give him a guaranteed king's ransome?

Duhon, got rode like a 2 dollar rented mule the first half of the season played hurt, never complained during the marbury crap. Duhon is a decent player who could be great as a pg but let's be honest people that want him to come out score 25 hand out 15 dimes and get 3-5 steals every night. It's not going to happen. He can be a 12-16 8-10 ast guy. Why hey he's averaging 8 assists now. But a chris paul,D.Rose Starbury score first point guard he is not. But he is not the problem they need someone at the 5 spot who can run the floor, play defense and block some shots.

al,
No doubt the Knicks need an elite point guard to control
the offense & provide an idenity & direction for this team.

If I were Donnie walsh Ty Lawson would be my selection
with this years lottery pick.

David Lee & Nate Robinson should be ex-knicks as well.
I'm not paying these cats the kind of coin there looking for.

doesn't matter. Kidd has openly admitted he wants to play with james and with clevelands success james will prolly resign this summer. Kidd will be signed to the MLE and they will have another shot at the champ.

I completely agree with Maddog...Chris has sucked up the pain and ridden out the season playing about 70%--80% of EVERY game. No body gave him his accolades when he was having 20+ pts, quietly dishing out and getting his assists stats up, and, of course, and consistently putting up the free throws night in and night out for the better part of the season. His problem, and maybe it's from his back pain or maybe it's just because he has no capable big guy in the paint (hello Jared Jeffries I'm talking to you specifically!) to snap it to, but he's driving to the basket, hesitating instead of going for a layup or quick jam, and losing the ball in a mess of defenders' arms and legs. The Knicks need to appreciate Duhon and get a back-up for him so he can go back to being rested and playing very well consistently.

Duhon also had the best turnover/minutes for any PG for most of the year. It's not his fault that his SG was coaches buddy Q-Brick for most of the year, then Hughes was hurt. Neither Duhon nor Hughes had plaid for awhile.... the team has no identity except to run up and down the court...
