Well written. Marbury can excel as a 6th or 7th man or be a malcontent. It's his choice. The Knicks need his expiring cap space so hold on tight & let hope the new coach & the younger players can come together to begin a foundation for something special in the next few years. Marbury's had his chance & he blew it BIG TIME.

The only problem is that even in a throwaway season you want to plant seeds of chemistry and/or develop talent. If keeping Marbury will inhibit either or both, then the best thing is to eat the contract. Dolan and MSG can afford it -- even in this economy.

As I see it the starting line up should be [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], and Lee @center. Randolph and Lee can rotate with James filling in when needed. Crawford, Nate and Q and Ewing are our energy AND defense off the bench. The Knicks may not make the playoffs this year but they definitely have an opportunity and the talent to make an identity for themselves this year. True Fan!
