Hopefully the Knicks will learn from their past mistakes of trading away their young talent in Mardy Collins, Trevor Ariza, Channing Frye and Balkman. These were all players who could have made significant contributions to an up and coming team. Instead we have the likes of Larry Hughes and Wilcox and Richardson. These guys have to go. Fans like seeing young players developed. Enough of giving up on players so quickly. NY fans will be patient if they see players developing and working hard. There is nothing more satisfying to a fan than seeing a player drafted and then working his way up to the starting rotation, ala Lee, Nate and Chandler. There is a sense of continuity, something you don't get when you make trades. The grass is always greener. It's like giving up on a girlfried, boyfriend or spouse thinking you have something better because you don't want to work through the difficult times, but that is what builds character and trust and real relationships and real teams. Stop the madness. Pick a player and stick with him. NY fans don't need a championship by stealing some other cities star we need to build it within, through the draft and hard work.

Who do the Knicks Draft in 2009?
Aldrich, 6'11", blocks shots and rebounds can hit the J. I like his stats and he is young only a sophomore. This fills the Knicks biggest need in the middle with a shot blocker and a guy who can defend bigger centers. He can also step out and hit a shot, not quick afoot however so he wouldn't be able to guard guys like Notzwiski or Bernani, whatever. Could body up against other players though and would be a big help rebounding the ball and shot blocking. The Knicks would still need an agile 7 footer who could run the court and block shots, like Marcus Camby type.
Gerard Henderson: Don't know, one for 14 in biggest game of career and didn't play that well in tournament. Might be better off skipping on him although he is suppossed to be a hard nose player who can defend and do a lot of different things so he is going to help even if he isn't scoring.
Chase Budinger: A skinny kid but someone who played well in the tournament and fills the need at the SG and can also play SF. Definitely worth a shot, crazy athletic.
Al-Farouq Aminu: Maybe, blocks shots good athelete, still a fresh, plenty of upside, didn't see him play, any comments?
Earl Clark: We have enough small forwards but he is special and can do alot, possibly.
Craig Brackins: Doesn't block enough shots for his size, we have enough of that, need big men who can block.
Derozan: Crazy athelete, don't know about his work ethic, Compton is a tough town.
Who should we draft?
