I think Gallinari will turn out to be somewhat productive for the duration of the season. This will be his building blocks of his career and he'll go in to the off season knowing full well what to expect and what is expected of him. By next years season opener, he will need to do whatever conditioning(Lifting weights to build strength) to be a productive NBA player and he has the stage to perform on. He will be a productivre pro and will find his niche.

If he had a bulging disc he will need surgery at some point in time. Probably would be better to do it now and get it out of the way while he is not a factor for this team.

I think the knicks made a bad pick with this guy before the injury, nobody was as high on him the way his godfather was they could of traded down for him. This pick hurts, you don't have a first round pick in 2010,when you are rebuilding you need for your first round picks to produce

Gallinari is a bust pick, chosen by D'Antoni as a favor to his Italian ex-teammate, keeping it in the family. The italian mafia continues to patrol the Knick bench, D'Ant, brother D'Ant, cousin D'Ant (or whoever the Soprano-looking guy with the greasy hair is). Who cares if Gallo is hurt for the entire season, the Italians got paid. Just another bust in the entire Knicks organization, along the lines of Mobley not being able to play, Jerome James, Eddie Curry, Jared Jeffries, Stephon Marbury. The entire season is filled with mistakes and miscues, mishandled and mismanaged. The only ones who did well are the D'Antoni Mafia. Did we get what we needed in the draft (point guard or a big man)? Nope, we got D'Antoni's nephew. How many times has a European player excelled in the NBA, you can count them on one hand. They're either too soft or not ready for the competition in the NBA, Gallo has proved to be both. Sorry Nate and David Lee, we can't afford to keep you, we have to keep paying off dead wood like Jerome James to ride the bench, or Me-bury to not play at all.
