Who rebounds, plays defense down low and blocks shots if the Bulls swap Thomas, Gooden and/or Noah for Amare? Executing the Bulls rebuilding plan successfully will involve incremental steps, address both offensive and defensive needs, and balance short-term and long-term goals. Just when it seems like the investment in Thomas and Noah is starting to pay-off, we're going to trade them? Be careful what you wish for.

AMARE sounds good right now, but try not to trade TYRUS, he is getting better and he can play with DERRICK ROSE, move some of the guards we have a lot off them, and i'll let go NACIONI or NOAH before THOMAS....

I know this is wishful thinking but is there any way that the Bulls can make this trade w/o giving up TT?
I would love to have Stoudamire & Tyrus as threats down low. WOW- it will be a block party down there.

If we can only get Stoudamire by throwing in Tyrus then so be it. It just scares me not knowing how the chemistry will work out with a new teammate... also given the fact that Tyrus is younger and is coming up while SToudamire might be on his way down within a a couple of years. How long till his knee gives out, u know.

However as I said... If we need to give TT up, then so be it. We need to take this risk however long it will last.

I think bringing in Amare would benefit the Bulls in so many ways. Imagine the pick and roll game with an athletic Amare who can dominate the paint and hit the 17 footers. It would definitely open up the court for the supporting cast, leaving guys like Gordon, Noche, and Hinrich open. At 26 years old, Amare can make the Bulls a much better team. Has there been any rumors involving Larry Hughes situtation?

I as much as the next Bulls fan would love to have Amare on the Bulls, but to give up Tyrus...NO WAY. Tyrus will be a better defender than Amare and is showing signs of significant improvement on offense particularly driving to the basket. If this kid hits the weight room a bit more he can become a beast. Now with that said Amare would give the Bulls a consistent threat in the paint. With the exception of Rose, Deng, Tyrus and even Kirk I would unload anyone else to get Amare in Bulls uniform including a couple first round draft picks.

I'm just stating this based on watching him Sunday evening in the game against Detroit.
Amare should fit in well here because he also appears to be another lazy ass. He stays out of harm's way on defense unless he knows he can get the board.
Tyrus Thomas shoots better than him from 15ft out, which doesn't say much.
It would be a big mistake unless they can dump Popeye Gooden, his ugly tatoos and afraid-to-play mentality.
Along with Mr. Selfish himself, BG.

I said to a buddy last night when the game was tied with 4 minutes left to play that I would guarantee the Bulls will lose because they have no coaching. I don't care how many points her scores, you don't leave BG out there at crunch time.
I saw 2 positives last night-
Dinegro had the gonads to pull BG 4 minutes into the game because he was afraid to play defense. Unfortunately, that leaves the Bulls with a 2 guard situation and no adequate rotation because Sefalosha looks pretty but does nothing.
Deng looks like he has been putting on muscle and starting to use his strength to get boards and play the passing lanes. There may be an upside to him.
I've also been thinking that maybe Hinrich should start at the 1 guard with Rose as the two. You'd still have two guys who understand the schemes whether they get executed or not is another issue.

Any one who does not want Amare on the bulls is down right crazy. All we do as bulls fans is hope and beg to get a scoring post player. I will admit when we got Ben Wallace I was very happy and thought we finally got what we needed, but I was wrong. Now we can get what all bulls fans have wished for a low post threat on the offensive end. I am sick and tired of hoping that Tyrus will turn out. Remember Marcus Fizer and Eddie Curry and other clowns we have hoped for. Tyrus is another one that is not worth waiting on. GET AMARE NOW PAX!!!!!!

Can't believe that anyone would hesitate trading a guy who can't start for a below mediocre Bulls team for an all-star, all-nba player. The Bulls are lucky to be in the running considering the sad amount of talent on their team. Paxson should tell the Suns to pick any three players or picks of their choice except for Rose and pray.

To you other guys who like Amare-
mark my words. I'm just hoping he quit trying on Phoenix 'cause he knows Kerr has been itching to trade him.
But, he hasn't played all-star caliber level for a while now.

I'm not saying don't do the trade but i'd rather dump the garbage cleveland gave us last year than a TT who even though he plays stupid, he has cut down on his stupidity by half. So, that says something, huh?

I was looking at trade scenario's what about this we trade: Tyrus, Hughes and Drew Gooden for Amare, Barbosa and Robin Lopez.

We will have to trade Tyrus to Amare, there is no doubt.

Lopez C, PF Amare, SF Deng, SG Barbosa, PG Rose (bench: Hinrich, Gordon, Noc, Noah and Gray)?

Or maybe we trade Hughes, 1st rd pick and Gooden for Amare and Alando Tucker? That might work for Phoenix, then we can keep Tyrus. C Amare, PF Tyrus, SF Deng, SG Gordon PG Rose.

Intrigued by Thomas...I'm sure they are. No Deal.

Anybody that cannot see Thomas is one of, if not the best, defender on this team is not paying attention. Even if you take out the blocks he still is. Trading that for someone that doesn't play defense would be be dumb and regretted sooner or later.

Save the money, keep Thomas, and go after Lebron or Wade in 2010.
