And so it comes to light that the Bulls' sad offense, if you want to call it that, is merely giving the guards free will to jack up shots if they're "open".

At least get the young big man some touches. It will keep them involved and motivated (rebounds included). Tyrus has not been touching the ball nearly enough for anyone to expect any sort of development out of him. Last game: Gooden shoots 20 times, each guard around 15 times, and Thomas 0 attempts. Del Negro is a cancer to this team.

K.C., thanks for the balanced reporting on Rose. He had a number of defensive lapses in the Portland game, especially toward the latter half of the game. He'll get better; Hinrich should be able to help him along with the coaches.

It's just refreshing to hear he doesn't walk on water. He is going to be a great Bull. But he is a rookie, and will need to work on a few things.

Noah and Thomas were never post up scorers in college. Who expects them to suddenly become post up players in the pros? And as bad a coach as Del Negro is proving to be, how can anyone be mad at him? What did anyone expect from a man who never coached organized basketball in his life?

OK, I guess you could be mad at him for taking the job. But I'm more upset at Pax for hiring him. Speaking of Pax, is the Chicago media on Pax's payroll? In a recent article, Rosenboob blasts Del Negro and the Bulls players non-stop but never said word one about the man that brought them all together.

I'll throw Pax an olive branch only because I must concede that perhaps Reinsdorf might have tied Pax's hands on coaching hire. I just have a problem with Del Negro even being on the list. The only logic I see in his hiring is that they wanted a built-in excuse for the Bulls having a bad season and a better chance at more ping-pong balls in the lottery.

The Answer is YES! It was obvious to everyone except Paxson that Deng with a slightly above average player, yet you paid him superstar money. Gordon is great on offense, but he is still a giant sized liability on defense. Thomas is a bust. Noah is a bust and an A-Hole. Thabo is a bust. We still have no inside presence or shooting guard. Gooden doesn't live up to his name. Del Negro only proves that both Paxsons are horrible GMs! Rose is the only thing going for the Bulls, much like back in the Brand days he was the only thing going for that team!

I also have been pretty unimpressed with Rose's play of late and am starting to wonder if he's going to become a me-first, shoot-first waste of time as Gordon has become.

True. He passes gas and pollutes any stadium. Then he shoots.

I really hope you're kidding. How can he become a me-first, shoot-first guard when his assist totals have steadily gone up all year? Did you even read the article? Rose is a true point guard, who I feel is relying too much on his teammates and should be looking to score more.

Also, he is playing more minutes than any other rookie and most rookies tend to hit the wall around February. But I think in Rose's case, his offensive numbers have been down due to the fact he is getting double and triple teamed.

I just have to laugh at the comments on these boards, and wonder where all the "true" Bulls fans have gone? The ones like myself who still went to games when Dickey Simpkins was our starting PF. The ones who followed this team through the great times and the not-so-great times to the mediocre times. No one should ever boo their hometeam. It's pointless. Have some faith in your hometome team for crissakes.(Though that can't be said for you Nada. Shouldn't you be rooting for the Suns by now?)

I agree with the first part, but I don't think the Bulls were hiring Vinny with the thought of making the lottery again. The last thing we need is more rookies on this team. Reinsdork is the problem. He is one of the worst owners in the NBA. His penny pinching ways have really limited Pax's ability to improve this team other than through the draft. He never wants to venture into luxury tax territory, like he couldn't afford it, yet his beloved Sox have been in the top 5 in payroll for the past 4 years. His heart is not in basketball and never was, even in the Jordan era. He sees the Bulls as $$$ and nothing else, that's why I believe there will not be another Bulls championship until he relinquishes ownership.

And I was really suprised that the Bulls didn't go after Michael Cooper for head coach in the off season. He has a wealth of coaching experience and has won championships as a player and a coach. Our D would be atleast in the middle of the pack with him as our coach. But I'll give Vinny the benefit of the doubt for this year since I wasn't expecting much out of the Bulls this year anyway.

Dickey Simpkins? MY GOD little Chachi, you go WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY back!!!!
All of us that watched Flynn Robinson, Bobby Weiss, Leon Benbow and Howard Porter and went to games when about 2 thousand showed up should look up to you, shouldn't we?
If Rose emerges as a shoot-first guard, which is what he's looking to be morphing into, then he won't do this organization a whole lot of good.
The great teams have point guards or point forwards that distribute the ball. Rose can be that, but he's not showing it.
Suns? I hate the Suns.
I'm an un-Watcha-Bulls fans.
Besides, who in hell would name himself after Scott Biaio? Are you a chick?
