<quoted text> i have one question. when was the last time a team that started a spot-up, open jump shot guy raised hell in the nba? you guys suck. instead of knowing what it takes to win in the nba, you guys connect yourselves to a favorite and hope that paxson surrounds them with all-stars that picks up these dead-weight favorites slack. paxson was probably the last dead weight.
For one, i said they would work well with each other, I didn't say they would be the best thing since sliced bread. Given that what's on the roster, Hinrich would work well with Rose. Well since you have all the ideas of what it would take to fix this roster let's hear them. No hindsight B's about i would have drafted this guy and make this trade. As of January 5th 2009, let's hear your master grand plan of who to sign and who to trade for.

ok, what team has a guy or guys that would accept a trade to the bulls? paxson is hand-cuffed by his own failure. a 5/10 guy won't go to the bulls. he would rather play anywhere else. trading projects for projects won't work. so where does that leave you? hoping that you can lure a free agent in. now there's another problem. what would make a free agent, an over-paid free agent at that want to come in? paxson is in a mess of his own making. not willing to pull the trigger on trades. not willing to take a risk. hoping that guys without talent can play hard and win in the nba. you can't play hard with no talent and win in pro sports. you need real talent. all play-off teams have real talent. not players that you hope get lucky on the biggest day of their lives. thats unreasonable. paxson has painted himself into a corner. he has to break the cycle by making a block-buster. if not he'll go out as the gm with no balls. at least, by making any type of major trade, it will appear that he tried and maybe another team will give him another shot. but at this point, he looks like a deer in headlights. he has to get rid of a couple of guards, draft picks for a couple of scoring big guys. and i don't mean 6'9 guys. i'm talking 7'0 like kaman or camby or even dirk. you have to get some defense in the paint, minimum! paxson is too conservative. that approach may work in stocks and bonds, but not in the nba. we need a gm that takes action whether it's good or bad. paxson is losing most of us.
Oh no i see you have no real plan, just empty talk about let's get a post player and spitting out the lets get Kaman or Camby talk because you heard someone else say it. Dirk really? Yeah Cuban is itching to get rid of him. You're another so called fan who's bad mouthing the players and GM's after one bad season.
I bet no one in here was ranting let's fire Paxson when the same core of players went 49-33, swept past Miami and took the Pistons to six games before they lost. Not one person foresaw the team having inner player turmoil, quitting on there coach who lead them to the playoffs and having to rebuild. Same type of fan who rags VDN for taking a head coaching job with no experience. The man took a multi million dollar job and hoped to learn from it I dare one person hear to say they would turn down a million dollar salary if they were making far less. I do agree that he wasn't the best man for the job, but I'm not mad at him for answering the door when opportunity knocked.
