I never knew how much of a clown Del Negro was until he became head coach of this dysfunctional franchise..the Bulls are a mess from top to bottom...Vinny Del Boylan has no business being a head coach, just like Paxson has no business still be employed by the Bulls...sometimes I have to remind myself the Bulls are still in the NBA...why do the players say they respect Del Boylan when it's obvious their actions tell a different story?

Right, you know they don't respect by their comments and actions. C'mon Pax give Avery Johnson a call. See if he is interested. Del Negro needs to go.

Well, they could say that they don't respect him or the coaching staff, but their NBA careers might be short lived! Publicly they say one thing, but their actions at gametime say something else for sure. Wish Scott Skiles was still coaching this bunch of over-paid babies because at least he preached defence.

Since when is the players' prediliction to dis (respect) their coach automatically the coach's fault? One of the most serious problems with paying pro players so much money is that some of their little pea brains get to thinking they must be smarter than their coach because they make more money.

I don't know where to start with this dreck. Del Negro "likes his fire"(Gordon's)likes to see "passion" from Gordon. Are you kidding me??? Passion for the pocket change he's being fined. Too bad he doesn't have any "passion" for the game he's being payed millions to play.
If any of us tried to express our "passion" or show our "fire" to our boss the way Gordon did, we'd be out on our "passionate" butts.

i don't think that it's about respect. coaches coach, players play. thats it. this stuff is designed to make gordon look like a bad guy. it won't work. he is a great guy. look at everything that he has had to put up with. 1. getting frozen out of the offense by hinrich. 2. forced to become a sixth man to give hinrich more undeserved playing time. 3. criticized for defense unfairly. and he fight through all of this without complaints. leave the guy alone and leave him and tyrus on the floor and let them play! those guys have nba talent, not marginal talent. vinnie has to play paxsons favorites though. so gordon and tyrus have to adjust and be ready for their next team that they end up playing for. and the bulls will lose forever with hinrich and nocioni.

Vinny is an enabler. Until that changes then these typical NBA players like Ben, Joakim, and Tyrus will continue to walk all over them.

And I also think us fans should be more made at Vinny for being so condescending to us then for being a horrible coach. Like we are going to but this bs about him liking being ripped a new one in front of reporters. That's so funny.

It has already been confirmed that Gordon didn't cuss out his coach. He swore about the fine he got. As in, "What's the deal with this bleeping fine?" Big difference, though it does make less of a story for you to run.

No free agent will want to come to play in Chicago if they they keep these stupid micromanaging "rules" and fines and ensnare otherwise good players. Can't eat in the locker room? No headband? Yeah, Lebron isn't coming here and no one else will decide to either. If they had stupid rules where I work I would have gone somewhere else myself. Chicago should be a great city that can attract big players but the team is managed so badly I doubt any will want to come here.

Gordon turned down a huge contract from the Bulls.....Gordon is a punk who vastly over-estimates his value to this wretched team of lame-brained underachievers.

Typhoid Thomas has one good game for every 8 pathetic games. Never hustles down the court and insists on jacking up jumpers when he should be crashing the boards.

Luol Dong, Kirk Trainwreck, and Ben (I'll never be Jordan) Gordon. Rotten to the core...I'd be suprised if anyone (but Rose) is still on this team in two years.

Now Larry.....he's a playa!

Hey, Tiff. Larry Hughes has a long track record of complaining about his playing time and needs directly to the media before addressing coaches with his concerns. He shouldn't be talking to the media like that at all regardless. In the past he has publicly said he didn't care how Cleavland did in the playoffs as long as he got his minutes and shots and felt good about his own game. He just wants his touches and it shows in his shot selection and career shooting percentage which are both bad. Team be damned pretty much. If he was so good Cleavland wouldn't have traded for garbage like Wallace just to get rid of him. He will be leaving Chicago too. Hopefully soon enough to get the locker room cancer away from Rose.

Ben is a 6th man and needs to start to understand that. I always expect and respect a player wanting to be a starter but Ben has a minor case of megalomania. He needs to learn his role, learn to play defense, learn to pass, and either improve his ball-handling or not dribble. If he does those things then he earns the right to complain and to ask for the kind of money he thinks he deserves.

The Bulls need 1 player that will smack one of his teammates in the mouth like Jordan used to do. All the good teams have that one player that other players on the team respect therefore makes it easier for them to be coached and not act like babies. Do the Miami Heat have more talent than the Bulls? Hell no!! D-Wade just has the respect and he plays hard every night and his teammates follow. The Bulls need a guy like that.

Excellent article. Now why can't K.C. Johnson write like that?

Gordon is a hardworking player who has always handled himself professionally in his years with the Bulls. Okay, he turned down their contract offer. So what? He was under no obligation to take it if he thought he could get more as a free agent. Maybe in hindsight it will be a mistake, but it was his choice, just as it would be for any of us.

I agree with terry t, keep up Gordon's minutes, keep Thomas out on the floor, continue to bring Rose along, and use whoever is best in match-ups in the other two slots. Might just get us into the 8th position by the end of the year.

The Offense runs through DERRICK ROSE AND DERRICK ONLY....Look at how New Orleans use Chris Paul!
