What's not in this article is the pathetic game Luol Deng, mister long-term-contract had. He has not improved a lick. Great job Paxson!! Other key points that contributed to the loss of a winnable game: Ben Gordon's key turnover at the end of the game due to overdribbling; missed free throws by both Ben Gordon and Nocioni which could have won the game; wide open three pointers missed by Hinrich and Gordon. There are no moral victories. This game was winnable.

Rose should be taking those last shots. Gordon has proven that he cannot be counted on to take and make the big shots. He fails every time. We drafted Rose to take those shots.

.......Ok ... IF WE(BULLS) want to compete in the NBA we need to get a real center....because with Aaron Gray tapping the ball he should go play volleyball, anotherthing that i saw tonight, when Ben and Rose are on the floor at the same time Rose is the point guard you got it BEN......and please Paxson don't wait till the season is over to make a trading move, we need a center so like that Gooden could play his regular position........don't make us BULLS fans suffer no more.....

Another game lost by Luol and Ben. Amazing how low these two have sunk. You could not give these guys away right now. Nice work Pax...how bad would this team be if they hadn't won the lottery. Would there be even one legit NBA starter on the entire roster?

Is't getting cold Pax???? Your neighbor vowed to make a change eventhough his team has been better than yours for years, and he DID! Where's Deng? 70 mil miles away from earth? Ben, the Bulls leading scorer the last 3 years, the game cLOSER too?

Of course, without the greedy NBA League Pass, many Bulls fans outside of Chicago, but living in Illinois and Bulls country can not watch many of their games live. Thanks for the update CalChiFan. How many times has Ben Gordon overdribbled at the end of a close ballgame, and turned it over? Answer: too damn many. Luol Deng's greed may haunt him this season as his one dimensional game became exposed last year, and could decline futher this saeason. I've been saying that Derrick Rose needs a partner for pick and rolls, otherwise double teams by Boston and other opponents effectively take his assist opps out of the game because the Bulls have no scorers with speed who can exploit the double teaming of Derrick. Why in god's name did Paxson not dump greedy Deng who after repeatedly snubbing him(and Bulls fans) finally punked him out of $71 Million bad boys. With that money we could have a post guy like Elton Brand or a speedy, athletic foward such as Corey Magette. Even Al Harrington on pick and rolls would be better than Tyrus Thomas, Noah, or Gooden. Hell, on pick and rolls with Thomas and Noah they just stand there, and don't even attempt to go to the basket. Derrick Rose could be having one of the greatest rookie seasons ever, but instead he's getting no assists and languishing with double teams with no valid pick and roll partner, but instead inept duds(so far) like Thomas, Noah, and Gooden who's a nice player, but to slow to drive the lane. Maybe they should try with Deng, but he'd have to play at the power forward spot, and he's probably not big enough to screen/pick effectively. Paxson's inaction this offseason is sickening, and he got punked by Deng and Kevin Pritchard giving up three(second round) picks for Omer Asik a 50% free throw shooting(the kiss of death) big man from Europe who will not be available for years. Paxson got punked, and even though he lucked into Derrick Rose, he couldn't even see the necessity of getting someone, ANYONE to enable the point guard's best friend(Chris Paul/David West, Deron Williams/Boozer) etc. etc. a quick scoring forward. If they can trade Hinrich for Al harrington or David Lee via New york(I haven't seen him, but if he's an explosive finisher/speedy to the basket) fine go get one of them. Now!

Clueless Paxson's over paid core stinks...... Is Deng still on the team?

Why is the Attack Killer Klank Hinrich on the floor and when will Nocioni stop crying, is the piano too heavy.......

Want to have a good laugh???? Watch No-Shot Noah shoot..........Or you can watch Macho Nocioni blubber to the refs on every play!

When will they add a flush button to the bulls channel???????

I have no idea how we ONLY lost this game by three points. The Magic have to be the dumbest team in the league. How do you not give Howard a touch on the low-block every time down the court. That dude is a beast. Instead they were jackin' up threes like they were down by thirty....Every time he gets a touch its a foul, dump-off for an assist or a lay-up. This really showed how badly we need a center. We need more muscle in the front court fast (granted that no one can stop Howard). Paxson needs to seriously start getting rid of these guards for some front-court help and unload some of these awful contracts for 2010. It sucks to see Detroit already thinkin' two years down the road. Joe D is a real GM.
Also, why is Luol Deng gettin payed like he is an All-Star? He is garbage.
Why is Aaron Gray on the roster? He is as soft as good toilet paper (freakin' Tony Battie was wiping his a** w/ him).

Also, I love Tyrus (God only knows why?), but when is he goin to get a clue and start attacking the rim? Or, heaven help him camp out 6 feet away from the basket and use his athleticism on the offensive glass. He had the "matador" Rashard "no D" Lewis on him tonite, and he didn't even attempt a post-up or aggressive drive. Yeah his jumper has improved, but that should be his last option (hence the 20% shooting). He is too damn talented to not have at least a double-double every night. Del Negro needs to start coaching.

CentrILMark, good post. Got a chance to catch the game online and noticed how everyone drops back in the lane when Rose has the ball daring him to drive. 2 things: he has to make 15 footers, and everyone else has to step up and make shots or it's going to be a long season. Hinrich and Gordon missed key 3-pointers at the end of the game which helped determine the outcome. How long have these guys been in the league? And Deng is pathetic. He's slow, has no moves, no strength, limited athleticism, and a long term contract. Is Paxson that bad of a talent evaluator?(Rhetorical question). I'm looking for Larry Hughes to get back. I think the combination of Hughes and Rose is a good one. Hinrich, Gordon, and Noce, coming of the bench works. Deng should be coming off the bench as well. Charlie Villanueva may be available from Milwaukee as he's in Skiles doghouse. You know how Skiles hates guys that can score but don't dive for loose balls in practice. Maybe Paxson can make a smart move and give up some dead weight e.g. Noah to get him.

When is the coaching staff going to take the ball out of the hands of Gordon in crunch time?
He does this all the time and 9 out of 10 times he can't make the shot. He needs to be on the bench at the end of every game not on the floor trying to take over a game which he can't.

FYI Bulls Fans, not only is Charlie Villanueva in Skiles' doghouse but I think Micheal Redd is as well. He's not logging big minutes and is not putting up big scoring numbers. Again, you know how Skiles hates guys that can score but won't dive for loose balls in practice. How 'bout Deng, Noah, Gordon, Hinrich to Milwaukee for Villanueva and Redd? Maybe substitute Thabo for Hinrich to keep a backup point guard.

What has happened to Deng? Is he suffering from the fat wallet syndrome many pro athletes get after their big payday (Heinrich comes to mind). Deng has actually been pretty good the last couple of years, now he looks clueless out there. I don't think it will be long until Noce is starting and Deng will come off the bench (as was suggested). Except for Rose, I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel with this gang that can't shoot strait (you know who you are!)

Fire Paxson. Del Negro needs to figure a way to get Deng going early in the first quarter. Fire Paxson. Deng 0/8, what a joke. Fire Paxson.

Ben Gordon got to be one of the dumbest players in the NBA, Taking wild shots when you have plenty of time on the shot clock and I have never seen so many selfish players who shoot all the time but can't shoot, Like Tyrus Thomas, Drew Gooden, Luol Deng, etc etc etc.

watching this game start to finish was painful...i was, scratching my head the whole night with deng. i expect the poor attitude and even poorer play from "big toe" gordon, and at least we bulls fans are gonna get a modicum of revenge during the off season when little ben gets 0 offers from any nba team, and ends up playing in a refurbished barn somewhere in the euro-trash league. after a little glimmer of the past from heinrich with the threes against memphis, i was sad to see the return of capt klank. i mean cmon, 3 open 3 looks (and i mean wide open...like no-one within 3ft open) he shoots 2 clankers and one airball. rose looked good, but it feels like his frustration is starting to show. seeing todays big trade makes me hope pax isnt giving up on the season yet...theres plenty of big guys out on the block right now, and we NEED one badly! wake up and smell the suck pax!!!

Seattle Mike, I'll tell you what happened to Deng. He took the money and ran. So now, instead of working out in the offseason, he takes all that money and goes to his native homeland to support charitable causes. Noble no doubt. But if he were going to do that, then he should stop playing basketball, give that money back and go do it.
