While Reality Strikes and Fred make some good points, I have to disagree that Wade is thru.
First of all the Heat needs to get a trainer (maybe in the martial arts) to show these big guys how to fall and not kill your body in the process. Judo is great for learning how to fall and break your falls, something along these lines could prevent another shoulder injury.
Next, Riley needs to sit Wade down premanently or put him on an injured list and get him off the floor for the rest of this season (there's nothing to gain by having your star player in there playing hurt) possibly getting an even more serious injury.
Fred, I said about the same thing the other night about playing to win and not slacking off, but in this case Wade desperately needs time off to get his knee and shoulder sufficently healed before he heads off to the Olympics this Summer and following that with the start of the season a few short weeks afterwards.
A rested, healthy Wade is absolutely essential at the start of next season because you know Riley is going to make changes in the off-season to prevent another dismal repeat of this year and he will need Wade to be at his best to go with Marion and Haslem and the other 2 players to be determined.
I don't blame Riley for wanting to get a jump on who the Heat would pick in the upcoming draft, a good draft pick could help change the face of this team and prevent another horrid season. Play the kids for the rest of the year and let the league scream all it wants, rest the veterns.
