Did anyone else feel that the Mavs sort of had a free pass to foul last night? Our players were being thrown to the floor and no whistles were blown? Yet - if a Wolves player came within a foot of Nowitzki, a foul was called. Unbelievable!

Having got that off my chest, I want to commend McHale and the guys for not laying down and phoning in the last part of the season. I didn't see the Suns game, but I can understand, at this time of year, that it is probably difficult to get "up" for every single game. They were certainly up last night and I couldn't believe how well they played. To say I am proud of them would be an understatement. Can't wait for next season with the return of Brewer and Jefferson. Should be a lot of fun! And I am all in favor of McHale coming back. He may not be the greatest play-calling coach, but it certainly seems like the guys will play their hearts out for him. Let's forget his stint as GM and let him prove himself as a coach. So far he isn't doing all that badly.

It doesnt seem to me that McHale wants to come back. A coach really needs to love what he is doing in order to be the most effective.
The Wolves need a fresh start with all of their many picks coming up in the draft.

McHale may not love all the aspects of coaching, but he has always said he didn't want to leave when the team was down - he wanted to be sure it was going in the right direction before he headed north. I am betting he still feels that way and wants to stick around to see this group of guys that he likes so much get going next year. How could he not? He doesn't seem to be the type who would walk away with a job half done. Remember - he's a Ranger - they don't quit just because things are tough.

mchale has done a decent job as interim head coach with very little to work with. foye and jefferson gone and we are still competing with good playoff teams and winning games here and there. what disappoints me is that we have so many picks in this years draft and the class appears to be very weak so we will probably get a whole lot of nothing. still, we should make improvements with the aforementioned players and corey brewer returning.

Hoping he returns.
He's got this team playing amazingly well. That game against Dallas was thrilling and the Wolves showed more heart than most local pro teams have showed in a while.

Amazing what he can do for this group that Wittless was just running into the ground.

Mac made some huge mistakes as a front office guy. He's done there (thank god), but has found his home being back on the bench.

This is the case every game. It's how they do it in the NBA.
Until this team becomes a play-off contender (not so far off) and selling tickets and merchandise, they will be treated like the bottom feeders they are.
The NBA is not a league where fair competition is the goal. Teams that win make money, keep winning - make more money (for the league).
It's amazingly frustrating watching the NBA at times, but I can't help myself.

That was a very good effort and an excellent & interesting game I thought. Close, some good shooting, defense, passing, humor, competition, characters, short (relatively) & tall stars, strategy, substitutions, quirks, theater, drama, experience & youth...

Their defense has been weak all year
