Does the Beacon still run that racist "comic" strip, Boondocks? Talk about worthless.

Add "Pickles" to the comic strip. Prince Valient is still being shown in the "Sarasota Herald". If it is still in this paper, why is it not available for the Akron Beacon Journal?

I love Crankshaft -- after all, we went to school together. Baily and Hi and Lois stay, as well as Zits (been there, done that). B.C. gives me a big cackle. The rest are either too cerebral or too scratchy. I miss Andy Capp. And of course I suppose it's too late to bring back Dick Tracy, Smilin' Jack, and Terry and the Pirates.

we get the sunday paper partly because of the additional comics and news and ads'not availabe in our local paper. Rose is a Rose is a favorite, as is Zits. We cover the spectrum of ages. Pearls Before Swine, Get Fuzzy and Prickly City (once funny, not now) would NOT be missed by any one in my family. Funky has changed, but we can't figure out if it is better or not, more realistic true, but is that what we want?
