This survey was flawed as it indicated up front that the serials such as "Judge Parker" and "Rex Morgan" were safe. Those of us who read and enjoy these strips did not weigh in with our opinion. The survey was for non serials only. Why did they include the results for the serials if they were not included?

I'm so sorry to hear so many readers disliked "Get Fuzzy" as it's my very favorite. In fact, I savor it and frequently send it to my like-minded daughter. Bucky and Satchel are the two sides (albeit simplified) of 20th c. man, the irrational, negative, irascible one and the tolerant, long-suffering, benevolent other. How can you not love them, along with their wry owner, who treats each with the respect he deserves. Quite a metaphor for our time and instructive in a way that an editorial or a lecture is not.
P.S. Maybe those who 'get' "Fuzzy" chose not to vote.

why are they trying to promote another 'conservative' comic?? political cartoons should be on the editorial pages, not the comic pages!

I always read "Get Fuzzy" last. For me, it's like dessert after dinner. Saving the best for last.
I'm also surprised that "Pearls Before Swine" rated as low as it did. It's another of my favorites.

I think taking out Prickly City was deffinitely a good thing, but I thought cleats was really good! Maybe parents don't like it, but I'm a kid who loves sports and I think it's great! I also do not understand why they can't get rid of Maryworth. I don't personally know anyone who likes it. And also, it's not even funny at all. I don't know about other people, but I'm not exactly exited about a "comic" about an old lady who does good things! It's way too sentimental. by the way, I think Calvin and Hobbes is the greatest comic in the world!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about other people, but I am an avid comic reader, and I didn't even hear about this survey! Who on earth DID vote? I think Zits is pretty good, and I think a lot of people can probably relate to it. Plus, it's pretty funny. I don't know WHY they kept Cathy, Rose is Rose, Garfield, or Family circus. I think they are all pointless and stupid. Also, why won't they get rid of Rex Morgan, Judge Parker, and Mary Worth. Mary Worth IS worthless, and Judge Parker and Rex Morgan are stupid. At first, Pearls before Swine seemed really funny to me, but when the guy gets a funny idea, he goes on with it for like FOREVER!!! I'm totally sick of all the characters by now. For Better Or For Worse...I Think is deffinitely for WORSE! It was alright for a while, but when they started having the flashbacks, it's gotten much worse. Why won't they just stick with the old stuff? Get Fuzzy can be really good and funny, but sometimes it's not so great. I really like foxtrot, and I wish the guy hadn't decided to quit! Still, Calvin and Hobbes is TOTALLY the BEST! Waterson really should still be making them! He's a genius!

I agree, Zits is the best and the serial comics are truly awful.Judge Parker and Mary Worth are truly bad. A writer commented that maybe you should keep them for the older readers. I'm 65 and I hate them and have trained myself to skim by them. Pearls Befor Swine is a winner and I believe it will truly take off.

opus is boring, and at times sickning. I'm glad you are doing away with Prickly City and Cleets. Especially Prickly City

See, you replaced "Flo" with Prickly City - what an absolute mistake. Bring back Flo!

Like the strip "Daddy's Home," it seems it will be comments on real life presented with humor. Get rid of "Cathy", "Cleats", "Pearls Before Swine" and "Rose is Rose"----they are lacking in humor and/or any redeeming value.

Cathy has been a real stinker for years. What's with Funky Winkerbean and the jump in character's ages? I liked it the way it was; even with the seriousness of Lisa's illness. For Better or Worse should stop its flashbacks, if it wants to keep an audience. Prickly City was terrible from the get go. There are better comics out there; they (the stinkin' urinal) need to find them and bring them home to us.

"Shoe" was the greatest. Unfortunately, it would probably offend some bleeding hearts in the audience if run today; too "politically incorrect!" But man, was it funny!
