If the Magic can make a deal for Paul, Paul comes to play with Howard. That is what Howard wants. Only a deal that will bring an impact player to Orlando will keep him there.

There is no player the Hornets can get who will keep Paul in place.

Deron Williams has sent a clear message to the Nets by signing with the Turkish League. That message is make a deal with a competitive team or lose him to free-agency.

Advantage Orlando.

The top free-agents want to play with Howard. The problem the Magic have is that they have contracts that are a problem to move to create the cap room to pull it off. The Celtics have still have their big three in place. A big three, mind you who makes them one of the league's oldest teams. They feel that they have at least one more championship run in them, so I do not expect the Celtics to make any drastic changes. Garnett, Allen, Pierce and Rondo, still make the Celtics the team to beat in the East besides Miami.

Which brings me to Miami...

The only teams with players attractive enough to break Howard from Orlando this season is Miami or Portland. It may take two of Miami's big three to do it. It could be LeBron and Bosh. Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden could make a nice package, but Oden's health issues present an issue. Also Brandon Roy would be a nice throw-in with Aldridge, but health issuse also arise there.

Forget the Lakers. That was the media's wet dream. They can't pull off the deal with the contracts they've got in place.

Prediction: Howard and Paul in Orlando.
